[#29] Ahmed Apimah Barusso
It's rumoured you're close to signing him from Rimini, he'll have his medical within the next few days.

Wonder if there's a transfer fee or if he is coming off a contract?
Know anything about him, Joel?

He won't be on a free, you'll have to pay Rimini something.
This guy is an animal, there's no other way to describe him. He joined Rimini last year after playing in Serie C and he immediately set the league alight. I've already posted this in another thread but here it is again, his goal against Bologna (scary stuff ):
Unfortunately though he suffered a serious injury not far into the campaign and as a result missed the rest of the season. Here's the incident:

Barusso è arrivato a Trigoria

Have you guys ever seen a serie C matchup? I mean are they any good..is it like watching ametures play or is it still very pro? Will this kid be able to compete in A or will he drowned?

no matter what league you go aaron all the matches and players are class now days.
the lower leagues have been getting better and better and can stand as high as the top one in terms of skills and professionalism.don't be surprised that they play very good football and its not some thing like we fans or normal people play every week or once in a while.

Think of it in terms of the NHL. You have the NHL(Serie A) the farm team (AHL - Serie B) then either CHL (Serie C), etc.
I haven't seen him play, so i don't know. But Joel seems to rate him very high, so i trust his judgment when he says he's a good player. He's worked his way up the ranks to Serie A. Only time will tell.

Roma want half his contract...always complicated with Roma.
Quote:
Meanwhile, talks with Rimini over the proposed capture of Ahmed Apimah Barusso have stalled.
The capital side, who already have an agreement with the midfielder, want to buy half of his contract while the Serie B side would like to sell him outright.
