Latest news states that Totti will be back in 4 months. With Roma's medical staff, i'm sure Totti will get the best treatment available. Roma need to learn to play without Totti. When he's not on the field, Roma are not half the team as if Totti was on the field.
Roma need to secure 2nd spot and avoid qualifying for CL...Juve coming on strong!!!

I'm just hoping that Totti doesn't have to worry about playing the CL qualifiers. It's going to be tough for Roma to hold Juve off...if they can, then it will be good for all parties.

In a way you're lucky, this injury could have been a lot worse.
ie. It could have happened at in the middle of the season, at least now the amount of games he's going to miss is minimal.

The wear n tear of the season caused this injury. He's had back problems, the foot injury in CL, the thigh strain and now this. But, Roma are lucky that it happened now while the season is practically over.
Totti after surgery....looks in good spirits.

Totti back on his feet...not good to just lay in bed....have to move around.

Totti continues rapid recovery
Tuesday 22 April, 2008
Roma captain Francesco Totti is already back on his feet after undergoing knee surgery following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Livorno.
Er Pupone damaged ligaments in his right knee during the Week 34 match, but is recovering at a record pace after surgery.
“I will be back running in 20 days. I am following the therapy. Now I have begun to walk and do a few steps with the help of a guardian.
“How will I pass the time? I'll be in bed, but I'll be running again soon,” enthused the former Italy international.
The 31-year-old Giallorossi icon is still expected to be out for four months, despite the optimism of surgeon Professor Pierpaolo Mariani.
The loss of Totti has seriously hampered Roma's title ambitions. Saturday's draw with bottom side Livorno allowed rivals Inter to go six points clear at the top of Serie A.
Speculation that the club will be sold is also unsettling La Magica, with constant speculation over a potential takeover from billionaire George Soros.
Milan chief and Italian President Silvio Berlusconi has also become involved, with his spokesman angrily denying reports he was attempting to block the sale to a foreign investor.
“It's impossible to think that a man like Berlusconi, who loves football, can be against an operation of this type. It's an urban legend, completely invented,” argued Paolo Bonaiuti.

Just heard that Totti was released from the hospital today and should have his brace removed in about three weeks. Totti will return to the Trigoria tomorrow to visit his teammates and show his leadership with the club. Also, to get some therapy by team doctors as his rehab starts immediately.

He's already stated this before...but glad he's reassuring everyone of his intentions. Roma need to bring in another starting striker to relieve some pressure of Totti.

Roma skipper Totti wants to play on "up to 37 or 38"
tribalfootball.com - May 04, 2008
Roma captain Francesco Totti has no thoughts of early retirement.
Currently recovering from a late season knee injury, Totti revealed: "After the way my knee rehab has gone, I think I can continue playing at high levels for a long time.
"I hope to continue up to 37 or even 38 years of age."

Saw this. The most fouled man in Serie A.You can just see the exhaustion of this season on his face.He needed rest but couldnt.Already miss his back heels in matches. He'll play on he says till he's 37-38.I just hope you can get back into form by November.Grazie Totti.

Totti will be ready to go by late August...tops. Even an off form Totti is a great asset to the team. Totti made brilliant plays in the World Cup after coming off surgery and i expect this situation to be the same.
