I know thats what im saying. Im just saying its possible. Alves prolly thought he had it locked up too becuase he was saying "totti would needs to score a brace in each of his last 2 games to beat me" and look what happened. All im saying is we shouldnt celebrate yet. I think totti will win but we shouldnt count our chickens before they hatch. Once RVN doesnt score in his next game we can celebrate a little more, because 4 goals in a game is almost impossible

Nesta is the second Italian to snub an Azzurri call after Francesco Totti halted his international career following World Cup glory.
The striker has insisted that he won’t make a decision on a possible return until he’s fully fit again next season – despite ending this campaign as the Serie A top scorer with 26 goals.
“I don’t know what will happen after the plates in his ankle have been removed, but I think I did what I had to do with him over the last year,” added the former Livorno boss.
“When I was a footballer I would have never considered the idea of refusing an international call-up, but I was very lucky because I never had any serious injuries.
“In any case, I respect the players and they respect me.”

I think the misses were due to lack of confidence. He suffered from that earlier on, as he was tentative in tackles as well. Some of the misses were due to poor decisions on his part. Shoots in the same position for many of them and some were good saves. But at least he scored enough during game play to make up for them. He's also good at making up for any missed penalties. Like the game against Messina. Missed a penalty, 15 min later, bangs in a goal.

lots of those penalties were good saves from former azzurri GK like Pagiluca and Abbiati...other times it was Totti taking either too short or too long to take the penalties...oh well...im still satisfied with 26 goals!

Don't think Totti will reach 26 next season though...he will be in the 15-20 range i believe. Hopefully he will score on his penalties.
Why doesn't he take his penalties like the one he did against Australia. Nice, high, hard bullet.

Man i dont know if you guys have ever taken PKs as grown men, but its hard. Everyone thinks its a free goal, well 1. you have a great goalie in front of you that you HAVE to fool or its a miss. 2. your shooting from so close that you cant kick full power or it goes way over the net 3. chip shots are near impossible for reasons 1 and 2 I take maybe 30 Pks a day against my brother at the civic center im lucky if i score 8. Its very difficult.

I think the point is that Totti isn't necessarily your best penalty taker.
I'd take Pizarro and possibly De Rossi over him.

Yeah, exactly.
Some people are just good at them while others aren't. Materazzi, a defender, can score penalties all day long while Trezeguet, one of the best finishers in the world, would struggle to score one even if his life depended on it.

Its hard...on top of all the physical limitations i talked about its alot a big "mind fcuk" if you will. Its doesnt help when you think about it, its prolly easier to score if you close your eyes and kick almost haha
