I'm not sure.
They have Valdez, Puyol, Xavi and Iniesta at least....while Dos Santos and Bojan may got there too late..?
Madrid have Casillas, Torres, Guti, Raul, Codina, Balboa and Soldado + a couple on loan to Getafe.

I think you misunderstand now. This is players Real Madrid have developed in their youth academy and almost all clubs in La Liga have players from Real Madrid.
Barcelona: Samuel Eto'o (who is developed in Real Madrid)
That list is just players Madrid have developed and where they're playing now.

It's the first time I know that Canizares is a product of Real Madrid's academy !!! That's nice !!
Many talented keepers are products of Real Madrid's academy (Cobeno, Casillas, Canizares, Codina, Diego Lopez ...........)

1. how much time did eto'o spend in madrid? or do they consider loans?
2. all of the midfielders in the Spain U17 that won the WC are barcelona youth players that in the next seasons are supposed to become famous... while I don't know how many players real madrid had in the team but non of the cracks was a real madrid player. (the big star - TEKO - is an atletico madrid player).
3. in terms of quality... are real madrid better than barcelona? (I mean players coming out of the youth department)
4. home players playing in barcelona: Messi (6 years in catalunya already), Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Bojan, Giovani(can be considered as he came from the youth team), valdez, jorquera.
6 starters compared to real's 3 (casillas, guti & raul).

Eh, Bojan, Dos Santos and Jorquera aren't starters. So, 5 starters. Only 1 of whom(Messi) would make the Madrid 11.

I'm probably biased but I'd probably think Xavi, Iniesta and also Puyol could get into the Madrid starting XI although they wouldn't want to
Metz 2nd is suprising but Barcelona's generation cycle started about a year or 2 ago and many more youth players are going to start coming from Barcelona over the next few years.
It would be interesting to compare quality between the 2 youth academy's, it would definately be close.

And he, thankfully, is a Liverpool now.
Puyol wouldn't make the Real team over Cannavaro. Xavi or Iniesta might possibly make the team over Guti. Would require a change of formation though.

How many appearances did Arbeloa get for Real Madrid? None?
