Default Heinze May Be Out For Up To Two Months

Quote:
Manchester United star Gabriel Heinze says he will wait until after the upcoming internationals to discuss his future.

It was reported a week ago that the Argentinian was on the verge of joining Real Madrid but a move has yet to materialise.

It now seems that Barcelona have also declared their interest in the former PSG defender.

However, Heinze looks set to wait until after the Copa America next month to decide his future.

"When the internationals are over we'll see where I will play," he told The Sun.

"I don't know if I'll play for Madrid or Barcelona."

Heinze's brother and advisor Sebastian added: "As well as Real Madrid there are other teams showing interest in Gabriel, like Barcelona, and Juventus in Italy."

from Goal.com

Goal.com - Manchester United - El Clasico For Heinze, With An Italian Twist?

Heinze maybe at Madrid to replace Carlos, maybe at Barca to replace Gio/Sylvio, maybe at Juve also the rumours say. Or he could stay at United and be behind Evra. I don't think United need him and can cash in on him as they have 3 decent LB's for cover and they'd get about £6m from selling Heinze.

Anderson can now also play left back too, so were covered if Silvestre stays. But i rather us sell Silvestre then Heinze.

His destination will be Liverpool with some help from lawyers...United should be ashame how they treat their players. If Heinze want a move to Liverpool and Liverpool are willing to pay £6M then there is nothing United can do to stop this transfer.

They won't sell to a rival because they know Liverpool are up to something next season and that's why Heinze want a Liverpool move.

It's not the first time United show all who the jerks are...It's Heinze for christ sake...He ain't that good anyway.Liverpool are same as good without him.Only way he reinforce Liverpool is that he will be a one more option on left back and in the centre.

A transfer between United and Liverpool hasn't taken place in 40 years, because the two clubs are mortal enemies. When you sell us an first choice international, for a top 10 nation, in his prime for £6m, then I'll see your point.

Well we do transfers but not really willingly

Bernd Schuster, Javier Saviola, Luis Enrique, Celades, Trashorras, Michael Laudrup to my knowledge have all crossed over on a free transfer so the other club couldn't do anything about it. Luis Figo was also said to have a £37m buyout clause which Real paid so on that one Barca didn't have much say in it either.

Although an exception would be Sammy Eto'o who Real let go of their 50% for £8m although they didn't really have the player in their squad at the time and they didn't really have much choice as if Barca bought Mallorca's 50% then Sammy would have moved to Barca with Madrid keeping their 50% but not getting any money from the deal.

Heinze has also a buy out clause according to some medias, but Manchester United refuse to sell him to Liverpool anyway and that's why lawyvers have been brought into this case.

No he doesn't. Why would we buy him for £6.8m, and then put in a buyout clause of equal or less than £6.8m in his contract?

He claims to have a letter, signed by the club issuing that he can negotiate terms with another club willing to match a fee, but those letters are only used so that other clubs know they can negotiate with a player without it being a dodging deal or tapping up affair - such a letter does not override a contract.

Like I said:

Quote:

as Pat said, neither club had any choices in those dealings - and it's not as intense a rivalry as Pool/United. Remember:
Quote:
A transfer between United and Liverpool hasn't taken place in 40 years

The only rivalry as intense as Man United and Liverpool I can think of, is Celtic and Rangers.

That's right. Figo had a clause in his contract and Barcelona couldn't say 'no' to the bid on around £40 mill (ca 500 mill NOK ) And we all remember how this transfer ended up...almost a war.

I can't mention one who have went from Madrid to Barca (or the other way around) with a normal transfer. Saviolas contract experied and he had a row/conflict with the club, and they not used him as they should.

About Heinze, he may be a good player to have in Real Madrid (if not Drenthe will come) Marcelo and Torres are young and talented players....but Heinze will be a great player to have on the LB, but it looks like Madrid not are interested.
