Default Real Madrid Trying to land C. Ronaldo ??

Quote:
Madrid Make Ronaldo New Priority, Report Claims

Real Madrid are preparing to try their luck at tempting Cristiano Ronaldo to move to the Bernabéu in the summer after failing to land him last year, according to a report.

The Portuguese player made his desire to play in Spain public recently and the Spanish media believe that he would leave Old Trafford if a tempting offer is made.

AS' chief Madrid correspondent, Tomás Roncero, has said that president Ramón Calderón will off-load player's at the end of the season in order to fund a move.

Although Ronaldo has no official buy-out clause in his contract, it is thought that a bid of around €70m should be enough to see Manchester United seriously consider the offer.

With the former Sporting winger being only 22, he is seen as good value for that amount as it would still be €5m less than Zinedine Zidane cost in 2001.

The real objective for Madrid is to persuade Ronaldo himself to want to move as they believe that his desire would be the key to leaving Old Trafford.

His recent statement that playing in la Primera is a dream helps to give the story some credibility, but next summer may well be far too soon for him to consider a transfer.

Sir Alex Ferguson looked to put an end to the speculation that was building earlier this year by successfully tying the player down to a new contract, whic runs until 2012.

To raise funds, Roberto Soldado will be sold for around €12m, while Javier Saviola, Royston Drenthe and Arjen Robben could all be offered to other clubs.

Royston and Robben could stay if they prove themselves, but the latter has already been labelled a flop by the Madrid hierarchy, according to Roncero.

I don't know if we need him...
Honestly !! I think that our squad is balanced, and bringing a hot shot like Ronaldo won't do any good !! first of all because we'll spend a lot of money, second, we'll have too much ego in our team, and I don't think that any Madritista wanna see a Galacticos or Semi-Galacticos again in Madrid ...

About Robben, I saw a little bit of his abilities, and I was very impressed. When he'll pull through 100% and get into form, he'll be one of the top 3 wingers in the world. Selling him won't be wise. and don't forget how much we worked to bring him..(+ we won't sell him in the same amount we bought !!)

"according to a report"

Hehe, good source.

However, C.Ronaldo had been great for Real Madrid, but that transfer won't happen in modern time.

He's not a perfect fit for real.... I seem him with Valencia if he were to move!

Real are just money, hungry assholes. Look how barca treated Quaresma, I wonder how would they treat ronaldo.

It's a stigma about Madrid, we're not "just money" !! We are the fans who want the attacking football .... Why do you think that Capelo wa fired ?? (right, money helps you to bring good players so you can play good attacking football, but money isn't only what we got, we have football in Madrid, you should have watched our team ...)

Valencia ?? They are crap ......

Default Ronaldo said to his Portugal teammated: "I'll move to Madrid next summer"

Quote:
Man Utd's Ronaldo convinced of Real Madrid move

Manchester United wing ace Cristiano Ronaldo is eyeing a move to Real Madrid next season, it has been revealed.

AS says last month Ronaldo confessed to his Portugal teammates prior to their Euro2008 qualifier against Finland that "next season I will play for Real Madrid".

Ronaldo also told teammates that he had a buyout clause written into his present contract - "just over £45 million" - and believes the time is right for him to leave.

The winger is convinced with Nani's rapid progress, United will be prepared to let him move on and he could leave for £40 million.

Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, has a good relationship with Real sports director Pedja Mijatovic which would smooth any negotiations over personal terms.

I really doubt he said so ...
It all reminds me of what happened with Kaka in the summer!! ...

Well, of course it is, just look at your team.... if you didn't have the money, where would you be?

Don't you want a competitive league? You can't have one team buy all the superstars and ruin the element of competition. Look where Espanyol/Villareal are now, they are closely behind barca, and they don't rely on a buy on a saturated market but good players.

Quote:
Valencia ?? They are crap ......

That is precisely my point.... they're a submarginal team, if they sign ronaldo then you would see a shift of balance once they sign better players. every year it's always real & barca, how will you balance the league out when they keep on buying players! Ronaldo will NOT move to real.... Maybe barca because of deco's friendship.

AS??

Rumors, rumors, rumor.... I hate these apparent sources when it's all fabricated just to distracted clubs. It does affect a players psyche.

Its not weird that AS linked C.Ronaldo to Real Madrid after WC when he admitted that if would be difficult to continue for ManUtd after what happened. He had already been in Madrid if Baldsano (who had a deal with him and ManUtd) had been elected as president that summer.

AS and Marca have good sources inside Real Madrid. They have predicted transfers like Figo, Zidane, Becks, Ronaldo, Owen, Saviola, Capello, Canna, etc, etc... long before noone else. Of course do they write some wrong information too...but which paper doesn't ... ?

competitive league? last year, on the last matchday, three teams could of won the league. I doubt you could say the same for any other. And if espanyol and villareal are closely behind barca, doesn't that mean it is competitive :S

The past winners are

07 Real madrid
06 barca
05 barca
04 valencia
03 madrid
02 valencia
01 madrid
00 deportivo.
99 barca
98 barca
97 madrid
96 athletico

so no, it's not just two teams. of course there are dominant teams, like in every league. In the prem for the past 12 seasons only 3 clubs have won.

There are four different winners in La Liga just this century and there have also been several other teams that have been just a few points away of winning it. That's strong since two of the biggest clubs in the world are in La Liga.

La Liga is the most unpredictable and even league in Europe - both in the top and in the bottom of the table...and we can see out in Europe that Spanish teams are doing great too.

C.Ronaldo to Valencia....maybe when he is 35.

I don't have too, it's the same or two teams that keeps winning every year.

You can't really say 'If they didn't have money' becasue Madrid have earned their money. Chelsea on the other hand have not. This point would be relevant gainst Chelsea, but not Madrid.

Where would Chelsea be without money? Probably where Leeds are now, seen as though they were in more debt before Abramovic came along. Madrid earned their money through cup success in CL, La Liga and so on. The finacial strength is simply a reward.

Also, La Liga is not the 'same two teams' every year. (Valencia, Deportivo have both won in recent years). To make this point is to discredit every league. Of course only a handful of teams dominate each league, so you cannot only discredit la Liga for this. There are many leagues that are more dominated by fewer teams than La Liga (ligue 1- Only Lyon; Bundesliga - Mainly Bayern; Eredivisie - PSV or Ajax; and so on. The same applies to every league, so this point is obsolite.)

jec1 is talking some nonsense. Most of his views shows lack of information and is far away from the truth. He has also an unfair sound in his inlays.

People can have and shall have own opinions. But not write and invent up thing that isn't correct.

Look at LAFs inlay here for example, we might found that opinion very controversial in these days, but its HIS opinion without using " Why shall he go to General Francos dogs when he plays for Mighty ManUtd in Glory PL"?

Real Madrid and Barcelona are two of the biggest football clubs in the world and the funny thing is that they're owned by their own club and supporters. La Liga have been the most even and entertaining leagues in Europe the last decades, and Europe have been dominated (both UEFA Cup and CL) by Spanish clubs together with Italians...in how many years?

Real Madrid is not owned and get money supports from Russians, Americans and other 'rich uncles' as in the PL. They've earned their own money and its not just to buy in big names and success. Look at Madrid from 2003/2004 to 2006 with big names as Zidane, Figo, Becks, Ronaldo, etc..etc... Valencia and Barcelona who won the league.

"if you didn't have the money, where would you be? "

>> If, If and If...I'm not a big fan of that word. If I had been born in Germany in 1947...where had I been today? If ManUtd not had bought C.Ronaldo in 2003...where had he been now?
