Sebastian Pinto's Father Confirms Real Madrid Move

Universidad de Chile youngster Sebastian Pinto has sealed a deal with Real Madrid Castilla, according to the player's father...

In an interview with Chilean newspaper El Mercurio, Sebastian Pinto's father Carlos confirmed that Real Madrid have indeed signed his son.

In actuality, the player will arrive at Real Madrid Castilla, the reserve side, but the young forward may press for a first team place.

Carlos remarked, "The interest is clear, as we received an invitation from Real Madrid not once, but twice. The second offer was better than the first - and, of course, nobody says no to Real Madrid.

"Sebastian is incorporated with Castilla, but he'll train with the first team. Madrid compete in many competitions, so that will give him more chance of a first team place."

Sebastian, who is 21 years of age, is a full Chilean international, albeit having competed only in a friendly against Spanish regional side Aragon so far.

He arrives in Madrid from Universidad de Chile, with whom he has spent the bulk of his career. A brief spell at Cobreloa, however, saw him score five times in 17 appearances.

Overall, the forward, who stands has hit 14 career goals in league competition. Last season, he netted three times in 11 Apertura appearances before improving his ratio to six in 12 in the Clausura, which saw his side through to the knockout stages of the Chilean league.

There, they were finally defeated 3-0 by eventual champions Colo-Colo in the semi-finals, losing 2-0 away and then 1-0 at home in a game truncated to 67 minutes due to crowd trouble.

New talents are always welcomed ...
I hope he's good.
