No, Raul is great, I will be the happiest in the world if he gets in the shape he was 7 years ago, and believe me, if he continues the way he started the season (9 goals so far !!) he that will happen

I would say suicidal and not fatal. Your defense shakes so much and you think that playing with only 1 DM is enough, then you couldn't be more wrong.
It's very important to have 2 players trying to regain possession and shielding the defense. Diego doesn't track back (one of the main reasons for his success was that he had Frings and Borowski/Vranjes/Jensen covering the defense allowing him to have freedom), Sneidjer isn't exactly known for his tackling abilities and to see Robinho tackling is someone is once in a life time.
You could be really dangerous up front, but you would concede even more goals than you do now

I would go for:

diarra
gago - guti
diego
RvN - Robinho

but the attacking formation R4E suggested would work too. gago is realy not doing the defensive job he is supposed to do, and if you noticed, in UEFA they have gago(in their database) as a CAM and not a DM/CM.
diarra is holding the midfield pretty well by himself.
guti not sneider I would say, because guti tackles even more than gago lately. and sneider is crap(IMO)...

just heard some shocking news and I can't continue writing: hapoel tel-aviv are leading 2-0 in madrid against getafe

(hapoel tel aviv are last in the israeli league).

(Truely, we have the players to have a Solid Defense, but Metzelder and Pepe are new, and Schuster didn't have the time to find the best couple . . . )

Doesn't matter if they are good individually, they don't work well as a unit, your defense shakes a lot. And that isn't an opinion, it's a fact.

About Pepe, I heard he had a pretty poor game yesterday, but I can tell you that he is amazing, give him time to settle and you'll see.

our defense ain't good nowadays, and I know it's a fact. But, as you said, we have the individuals, and we need them to play as a unit, and if we want this to happen, we must wait. That's what I was trying to say, WAIT 3 MONTHS AND THEN JUDGE OUR DEFENSE !!

Not anymore. On the past 2 seasons for Dortmund, he was just average, not even Dortmund's best defender. He has been living on his reputation for the past 2 seasons now, injuries have killed him and I highly doubt that Metzelder will ever find his form again

@ O_K, so real madrid don't need an AM ? why did they make kaka thier number 1 target and now diego/VDV and before diego it was riquelme..
or you think VDV is better for real madrid because you see him a better player? I have very little information about VDV.

Kaka was their main target, because he is Kaka

(best player in the world).

I do think they need an AM, but someone like van der Vaart that also tracks back and helps out in defence, rather than an AM like Diego that doesn't defend

I never heard of an AM who defends(or helpes in defense)

unless he is used as a CM (like deco), but then they should be looking for a CM...
