A U-turn crashing into the fuzz is not very clever though. Good thing he wasn't drinking, probably saved his season

Stroppy Drenthe upsets Real Madrid boss Schuster
Royston Drenthe is in hot water with Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster after his strop at training yesterday.
The young Dutchman was again left out of Schuster's squad for tonight's big match against Valencia and he was visibly upset as he left the training ground.
Schuster bristled when asked about Drenthe's fit of pique: "If I have to give an explanation, it will only be to him. Not to anyone else."

I guess he wasn't that good afterall then? The 2nd match in a row where he didn't even make the squad

The competition is very hard on the leftside position in Real Madrid today. Marcelo, Heinze and Drenthe are fighting for the leftback position, and Marcelo have been great so far with a good Heinze as backup. Sneijder and Robben are covering the midfield position and Drenthe did not impressed that much when he got his chance.
However, It may be some other problems with him, but today he isn't good enough for the starting lineup. But he is a great player to have in the squad, young and still talented, but he must work hard to earn a spot.
IMO the should loan him out to an Spanish club in January. But Real Madrid have an extreamly hard schedule the coming months, and Schuster are good to rest and use new players, so he may got his chance in the future. But I don't rule out some disiplin problems when it comes to him.

Feyenoord wanted to keep him for 1 season (on loan), but Madrid didn't want that. I just hope that not another talented player is spoiled. On his age you have to play as much as possible

Spanish Press: Chelsea Want Drenthe In January
Real Madrid's forgotten man, Royston Drenthe, could be en route to Chelsea in January if Marca is to be believed...
Spanish sports daily Marca claims that Chelsea are seriously considering a move for Royston Drenthe (pictured) in January.
The former Feyenoord man signed on at Real Madrid this summer, but has yet to truly make an impact: indeed, he's started just four Liga games for the club, and none since September.
Chelsea were said to be interested in the 20 year old, left-footed maestro, who broke through to the Feyenoord first team early last season, this summer.
However, with Real Madrid bidding 14 million euros for his services - and Drenthe being extremely eager to leave Rotterdam for the Spanish capital - he became a blanquillo in short order.
But with his early days at the Bernabeu proving to be far from successful, a loan switch to Stamford Bridge may benefit player and club alike.
It is thought that the influence of new assistant manager Henk Ten Cate is at play here, the Dutch master being a huge fan of his young countryman.

Drenthe has got a tough start in Spain. Marcelo has been great and Heinze has done a good job as backup. Robben, Sneijder and Guti have taken the midfielder position who Royston can handle.
He has not impressed at the training pitch either, so if nothing big happens soon, they should loan him out or sell him in January. Both AC Milan, Chelsea and some La Liga clubs are interested.

Blau and the Dutchie population seem to have been right so far in that he would be a sub or less for Real Madrid.
A loan is probably in Real's best interests as he could possibly still have the potential to be a good player. A loan to someone like Chelsea might be dangerous as he might get just as many minutes as he has at Madrid. A loan to a decent or half pants side would be best.

Drenthe - Malouda Swap Deal Rumoured
According to reports in today's English media, Chelsea are set to make a bid for Real Madrid's unsettled Dutch international winger Royston Drenthe when the January transfer window opens - offering allegedly dissatisfied French winger Florent Malouda in exchange.
With the January transfer window looming, rumours, speculation and half-truths are abounding regarding possible player movements next month.
It is not always easy to separate pure fantasy from the stories that have a kernel of truth or at least some possibility of materialising.
Yesterday the media reported Florent Malouda's unflattering comments to a French magazine about the ethos of English football and English life, as experienced by him so far at Chelsea.
He was alleged to have suggested that the training routines, dietary regimes and matchday tactics in the English Premier League were little short of crazy, implying that such things were altogrther more advanced and sophisticated on the continent.
Today, however, Malouda is moving fast to distance himself from those comments and to assure Chelsea fans that he loves it in London really, in fact he couldn't be happier.
Nevertheless, reports from Madrid that Royston Drenthe is also disillusioned with his lot at the Bernabeu, and that Chelsea are interested in ending his Spanish exile, have prompted media speculation that a swap deal could be in the offing.
Drenthe, 20, is described in the Daily Telegraph as "a quick, left-sided player who is often employed as a wing-back." He joined Real in the summer from Feyenoord for £11 million, but has so far failed to make much of an impact at the White House.
He has apparently fallen foul of manager Bernd Schuster and consequently seen his playing time severely restricted, prompting assumptions that he will soon be shipped out of the club and be glad to go.
Drenthe was omitted from Real Madrid's Champions League squad to play Werder Bremen last week, while Schuster was said to be annoyed to see pictures in the press of Drenthe out enjoying himself in a nightclub on the same evening.
The two had previously clashed when the Dutchman was listening to music while sitting on the bench during a league match.
As for the Stamford Bridge connection, Chelsea's Dutch coach Henk Ten Cate is said to be an admirer of his compatriot Drenthe, and has apparently urged manager Avram Grant to go after him.
Real are said to be willing to off-load Drenthe, but would, it is speculated, propose a swap deal to Chelsea that would see Malouda move in the opposite direction.
Chelsea won the race against Real for Malouda's signature in the summer, but is the player happy at the Bridge or not?
His comments from an interview with a French magazine suggest he is distinctly unimpressed with both the Blues and London life.
His comments this morning suggest the opposite.
So it is easy to see how a swap deal story could gain currency, but not easy to decide how much credence should be attributed to the rumour.
What we do know is that Chelsea paid £16 million to Lyon for Malouda in the summer, so in the event that a swap deal is negotiated, the Blues may well seek a cash adjustment from Real, on the basis that they paid £5 million more for their man than Real paid for Drenthe.
Another case of watch this space....

Today's football is to find coming stars on a early time so they can get them for an approved sum and develop them to worldclass. However, the majority of talents have and will always fail, but inside these statestic, you'll shoot the 'golden bird' if you are lucky.
The majority of the next generation stars is playing for their u21, u19, u16 etc...and if you impress...you'll be discovered by scouts from clubs all around the world.
Drenthe impressed in the tournment and he played regular for Feyenoord. He is a typically wingback and have a great potensial, no doubt about that. But he went to a club who perhaps have the biggest competition when it comes to the leftside postions and when Marcelo (also young) have done his job...Drenthe has been a bit unlucky too. He has not got the chance.
I think that Madrid bought Drentge because they almost gave up Robben, but when Chelsea turned in the door, they bought him since Calderon had promised him. Then they had Heinze, Marcelo and Drenthe as LBs.
Buying talents today is and will always be a big gamble. Look at all the big guns the last years and all the talents...look at ManUtd for example...where is Bellion, Djemba-Djemba, Kleberson and co today? The next generation of ManUtd.
