According to my source, Emerson moved to Madrid for 11 million euros (no combined fees).
And now he's gone to Milan for 7 million euros.

Well if you insist on playing Robinho on the wing then what do you expect. He final ball is the most inconsistent at that level.

La 'operación Diego Milito', en punto muerto - Marca.com
Marca are going all out on "La 'operación Diego Milito'" as they claim Schuster wants a no.9. Milito has a buyout clause of 25 million euros but they may try and lower the price with Soldado or Baptista.
Reasons for this is the lack of goals and that doctors say that Ruud won't play more then 2 thirds of their games next season. I agree with Unitedfan in that they should have bought a proper playmaker a long time before now instead of now getting a no.9.

Real Madrid have perhaps one of the best strikers in the world in Van Nistelrooy and he has great striker partners in Javier Saviola, Gonzalo Higuain and Raul. But none of them are typically 15 + goalscorers.
Nistelrooy is the heavy striker while the others are more different types. RvN is the big and heavy striker while for example Saviola is the small and faster.
However, this thing that the Dutchman only can play 2 thirds of their matches next season is new for me. He has been injured whole preseason, but is ready to play now.
Millito-Nistelrooy had been a great duo, but Madrid needs a winger as number one priority.

Cicinho puede tener la llave para que Robben fiche por el Madrid - Marca.com
On that front the best I can give you is a very very rumoured Cicinho + 20m Euros for Robben swap with Chelsea. Sevilla's demands for Alves are stopping a 3 way deal so Marca rumour that Cicinho could be an alternative to Alves for Chelsea with Robben going to Madrid.
The Robben to Madrid is looking less likely to me as Chelsea look like they might not get Alves.

Isn't it funny that Madrid always gets ripped off? Their fault, really. They're the first ones to offer a huge amount of money for a player they really, really want and always end up being a dissapointment.
|
>>Clueless Inlays like this is actually something that makes me laugh.
Fabio Cannavaro and Emerson coast around €19 mill. It was Capello who wanted these two players, but Don Fabio put Emerson on the bench the last part of the season, because he was too slow and not good enough for Real Madrid in La Liga. Even he is his favourite player.
Emerson is in bad shape. He had the worst test results in the preseason in the Madrid squad and he is one year older and a bench player. Schuster wants to play one defensive midfielder, and Diarra - Gago over Emerson anyday.
He will go to AC Milan for around €7 mill.
Is this so laughable ? Nope.
...And that Madrid always get ripped off ? Let me sum up the biggest deals since 2000. Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckham, Robinho, Sergio Ramos, Van Nistelrooy... I don't think Madrid have been very dissapointment with these players. Canna and Emerson was not expensive if you split up the sum (€19 mill : 2 = €9.5 mill for Emerson...and they sold him to Milano for around €7 mill.
Of course can you find transfers that have coast a lot of money, and that players not have succeed at all. But I think we can find these players in almost every clubs. Look at Michael Owen....we bought him for £10 mill and sold him for £20 mill....because he didn't make a starter. Samuel was expensive too, but they got a good price for him. Football is also a gamble. Not everything works 100 %.
So please formulate and do research before writing things like you did in here, if you want to be taken seriously.

Latest rumour is that Heinze is on his way to Madrid, and that Drenthe shall play left winger.
If Robben not will arrive, I guess Madrid can live with Heinze as LB and Drenthe as LW.

That's much better imo, Drenthe would be a liability as LB, with Heinze you've got a better left flank, then Drenthe - Robben. More reliable at least

Messi, Giovani and C. Ronaldo Could Have Joined Madrid
Real Madrid's technical director Miguel Portugal spent years working with the club's youth sides. Since then, he's seen talents come and go... but revealed today that, had things gone a bit differently, Giovani dos Santos, Cristiano Ronaldo and even Lionel Messi could all be Madrid players today...
Speaking to Radio Marca, Real Madrid technical director Miguel Angel Portugal looked back on his tenure as head of youth at the Bernabeu, revealing that a certain trio might be wearing the white these days, had things gone differently.
The coach, formerly of Racing Santander, returned to the Bernabeu this summer to head up the technical department, having left the youth side of things around the time of the 'Galacticos' - Madrid's free-spending, big-name period.
"There was once a time when the entirely necessary development of young players was not a priority," he grumbled.
"It was the time of the 'Galacticos', when it was more important to look after those players than nurture young ones."
Then, he revealed that some of the most sought-after names in global football could currently be wearing the white.
"When Giovani [dos Santos] was 14 years old, we had the chance of signing him. Same with Messi. I could have had Cristiano Ronaldo, too.
"It was a great disappointment, but then the cantera [youth policy] did not have a transfer budget," he revealed.
However, despite these disappointments, he insists that the future is bright for Real Madrid, and that coach Bernd Schuster's sumner signings - and current squad - are indicative of that.
"Schuster now has players who can give him the Madrid style of football for the next 3, 4 or 5 years," he concluded.
Giovani dos Santos and Lionel Messi ended up at arch-rivals Barcelona, with Cristiano Ronaldo being an integral part of the Manchester United setup.

Will Real Madrid Sign C. Ronaldo?
This is my first post on this website. I just turned 57 and just three years ago I gave up American Foolball (I mean "football") for the real McCoy. I have become a diehard fan of Spanish Liga, especially FC Real Madrid, and National Team Portugal. My new found passion has led me to geneology as a hobby. Just recently, I began to trace my family roots to Portugal and Spain. I have really become a strong C. Ronaldo fan. For those of you who really know your soccer, I have two questions: Is C. Ronaldo the best player in the world (as I've heard)? and will he be going to FC Real Madrid this season? Please let me know your impressions.

Welcome and please stick around.
The answer to both your questions is no. AC Milan's Kaka' is considered the best in the world. Ronaldo is a little bit off this, he is widely considered the best in his position though.
He may join Madrid in a few years but he's just signed a new contract at Manchester United and they won't look to sell him.
