Well he's worth neither. Around 9M seems fair, Arsenal can dream if they really expect that.

 too true
I hope Madrid have a backup plan, I really do, because the Robben think is looking more and more distant every day, and just signing Reyes isnt enough on the AM or winger front, even if Baptista comes back.
I'm sure Schuster himself has a plan B, but it's Calderon that's the problem. As depicted in that cartoon, he's probably just gonna move along to another target uninterested or unsellable, and the window will be gone before you know it.

Actually there's plan B, and it contains selling Cassano to Inter and Bringing Santiago Solari back.

Bringing Solari back will probably be more of a plan X or W. m pretty sure the Madrid fans wouldn't be happy with him as their only midfield signing so he'll probably be a squad player again if he comes.

According to Hertha Berlin, Madrid have signed 18 years old Christopher Schorch from them.
Nothing is officially yet, but the defender (1.92 tall) will probably be loaned out or play for Real Madrid Castilla next season - if he arrives.

Shit . . . now everything is messed up
After the 3-0 to Hanover I just hope that Real won't end this season in the 18th position . .

Well if Madrid don't get Robben or Drenthe then who would the fans want them to get?
Also what if they get no new players in before next season, would the fans be happy and would they be able to challenge strongly for the title? I say no both times.

I don't think Madrid had taken the title with Robben or Drenthe either to be honest.
Madrid will not have the Gods with them this season, La Liga will perhaps be stronger than ever and Barca with 100 % fit Mess-Ronaldinho-Etoo-Henry + wise transfers like Millito and Toure....says it all!
However, Madrid need two new quality players on the leftside to have a chance. Looks like Drenthe will be hard to get, and Robben...I don't know. He'll have hard competiton in London and in Madrid he'll play as regular all the time (I guess)
Its difficult to sign quality players today, so we just have to wait and see. If nothing have happened within a week, I'll start to be worried.

Madrid's Drenthe Chase Collapses
Quote:
Real Madrid's chase of Royston Drenthe suddenly seems to have collapsed in a heap.
It does not seem to be a good week for Real Madrid's transfer project (not that it has been brilliant on the footballing front).
After a late surprise on the Reyes front, and recent complications in Robben's move, there is more trouble, this time involving Royston Drenthe.
The Merengue bosses have practically given up on the Dutch midfielder, with Feyenoord unwilling to compromise on their demands.
The Dutch side are keen to keep the player at the club for another season, and are thus demanding that either Real Madrid buy Drenthe and leave him behind on a one year loan, or else cough up some serious money.
Club manager Peter Vogenzang left little doubts about the fact that he wanted the player to stay.
"We have made the conditions for his transfer very clear," he told Dutch news agency ANP.
"We have asked for an amount which very clearly suggests that we do not want to let him go."
He also revealed that as a result, Los Merengues have given up on the player: "Real Madrid have now told us that they cannot meet our demands."
This will come as another setback in what has been a rather tricky week for Real Madrid. On Monday, they watched as Atletico Madrid snatched Jose Antonio Reyes from under their roses. Tuesday saw Schuster's boys go down 3-0 to Hannover 96, and then Wednesday has seen the near certain Robben and Drenthe deals run into very heavy weather.
Los Merengues will hope it will be a better few days ahead.

El Real Madrid negocia por Lucho González - Marca.com
Attention has apparently turned to Porto captain Lucho Gonzalez now who has a €25million buy-out clause. This rumour will really annoy Oliver Kahn who thought the Lucho rumours were over
Drenthe and Robben are in the left sided players rumours, but Lucho would be the alternative to Cesc Fabregas.

I guess van der Vaart is the second choice if Real Madrid fails on Kaka bid.
