Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has picked up a foot injury, something that could prevent his participation in the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.
Ramos, playing right back, picked up the injury towards the end of the 0-0 draw against Real Betis on Saturday evening.
He was subsequently substituted by Marcelo - with Miguel Torres moving to the right - and the doctors have discovered a bad bruise on the inside of his right foot.
The good news is that while there is some swelling, no breakage is expected, so the former Sevilla man may not be out for too long.
The bad, however, is that it is uncertain whether he will be fit in time for Tuesday's clash against Bayern Munich, with just over two days to go.
The doctors will carry out a precautionary scan on Sunday morning, and then make him train separately under medical supervision, before handing out a final diagnosis. The general mood, however, is one of optimism.
