Default Capello Talks Robinho, Beckham, Cassano And Eto'o

Speaking on the eve of the clash against Real Betis, the Real Madrid Capello said he had complete faith in Robinho, and also gave his views on Barcelona's crisis. Overall, he said he could see positive vibes coming from the squad.

"We have hardly made the covers of the newspapers this week," Capello told the press. "However, I don't want to talk about what happens at Barcelona. I've had my own problems here."

Having said that, he was eventually pushed into commenting on what he would have done after Etoo's remarks.

"A similar thing happened to me with one of my players," he explained. "Footballers sometimes react this way. They all do things in their own way.

"This happened to me with Panucci and we sorted things out between us. I think Rijkaard will do the same."

The discussion quickly shifted to Real Madrid's own headline - Robinho's comments. The coach was calm, and insisted that it was a case of smoke without fire, and churned out statistics to back himself up.

"I do [have faith in Robinho] and figures show this," he argued. "He played 90 minutes in five of the past six games, playing 76 in the other.

"I think the fact that I have lined him up five games in a row obviously shows that I have faith in him. I also have a large squad and I feel the need to rotate the team."

On Beckham, he insisted yet again he had not played Beckham out of compulsion: "No one has ever forced me to do anything. I am a free man, who makes up his own mind about things."

He also hinted, that Cassano could make his return, like Beckham, when he was fully fit, surprising the media quite a bit: "Cassano is training with the whole squad and will make his return when he is in good shape, like Beckham. He's getting there. By good shape I mean both physical and psychological."
