Default Carlos back in training

Roberto Carlos is back in training with Real Madrid and could be fit to play next weekend against Real Betis.

The former Brazil left back suffered an injury in January during a Copa del Rey tie, rupturing a muscle in his right leg.

Miguel Torres has deputised for Carlos since, stepping up from Madrid's second team, Real Madrid Castilla.

Default Roberto Carlos Desperate To Return

The Brazilian returned to training this week, and has insisted that he is dying to start playing again.

The Brazilian has been out for just over the month, and could return to the squad for this Saturday's game against Real Betis.

However, the club's focus seems to be to get him ready for the Bayern Munich game, something that is making him uncomfortable.

"I am absolutely crazy to play," he said. "I just cannot wait any longer without playing a game."

"I have had to spend a month without touching the ball, and I did not support that," he continued, suggesting that he had to actually be restrained.

"It has been very strange to spend so much time without playing football.

"I hope to improve even more over the next few days, and make the squad for the clash against Betis."

"I want to play at least for a minute," he concluded, tongue firmly in cheek in the light of the Eto'o saga.
