Sanz: I have Adriano deal!!!
http://www.channel4.com/sport/footba...ia/jun27e.html
Quote:
Real Madrid Presidential candidate Lorenzo Sanz has sensationally announced that he has agreed to sign Inter striker Adriano.
“I have reached a deal with [owner Massimo] Moratti to sign Adriano if I am re-elected as President of Real Madrid,” he told Radio Marca.
“We have agreed a swap deal for a couple of players with Inter. Two will arrive from the Nerazzurri, I’ll also sign a Portuguese player and an Englishman.
“I’m ready to present the contracts on Thursday to prove to people that we have obtained these results.”
Adriano has been linked with the Spanish giants for some time and may be on the verge of an Inter exit.
He didn’t enjoy a great 2005-06 where he struggled for goals, as well as having problems with boss Roberto Mancini and some teammates.
It now seems that an exit is on the cards if Sanz, who recently attempted to buy Parma Football Club, wins the race for the Real hotseat next month.
If Inter do opt to sacrifice Adriano then it is expected that they will subsequently agree terms with Fiorentina over the capture of Luca Toni.
The two clubs have started talks for the Italian international and a fee is likely to be agreed after the World Cup Finals.
At this stage, it is unclear which other Inter and Real players may be involved in the deal supposedly brokered by Moratti and Sanz.
There is the possibility that Raul or old-boy Ronaldo could arrive.

I'd guess that the portuguese player is either Carvalho or Ronaldo. Wonder what English player he's talking about.

Yeah, the English player is 90 % for sure Ashley Cole.
Adriano to Real Madrid? I am actually not very tempted. Better to use Cassano, Ronaldo, Raul and Baptista.

Its all BS i am willing to bet he wont have any of the players, Adriano possibly but Inter are better of with the money.
Its like the Barca president race when he promised Beckham but he didnt go there.

Hmm, if we get Toni, like I think we will, we unload Adriano for a nice profit I imagine.
Getting Toni is 50-50.
I have this feeling that Inter will ask for a player though.

Jager, do you want Adriano or Toni for Inter next season?
I am not that keen on Adriano. Has not impressed me for a long time and his attitude according to some of you....

Jager wants Toni...quite rightly after last season - that said, Adriano is still the greater talent capable of greater things.

If I'd been boss, I had played Cassano, Baptista, Raul and Ronaldo and used the Adriano money on defenders and midfielders.

The last two seasons, Madrid have spent almost £50 million on defenders. The problem is not the defence, but the midfield.
However, they need another central defender since Woody is too unstable when it comes to injures..

Adriano would probably be a waste of money considering the other areas that need strengthening. I like the strikers you have already.

Adriano is so bloody overrated. But he would be a good money spinner.
