Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen has dismissed rumours linking him with a move to Manchester City.

Speculation had been mounting in the Spanish and Danish press that the two clubs were close to striking a deal, before Gravesen's agent dampened talks of a possible return to The Premiership by insisting that he was happy in Spain.

The former Everton man has been in and out of the Real side this season, and several top clubs have reportedly been monitoring his progress.

However, Gravesen has shrugged off suggestions that he could be joining City in the summer.

"In football there are many rumours but I've said nothing," he stressed.

"There are no contacts with Manchester City."
