Real Madrid, Chelsea alerted as Emerson seeks new Roma deal
Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Emerson's looming contract talks at AS Roma.
The Brazilian international midfielder's agent, Gilmar Veloz, is travelling to Italy this week and hopes to open preliminary discussions with Roma about a new contract extension for Emerson.
The Brazilian is believed to want a pay increase from his current £1.75 million-a-year to closer to £2.75 million-a-year.
With Roma under financial pressure, Emerson's request is likely to be rebuffed, which may lead to him asking for a transfer.
Roma chief Franco Baldini will meet with Veloz this week and the player's agent said: "I'll be in Italy on Friday, though nothing serious is scheduled with Roma.
"Its not really the time to talk about a contract extension, though that may change in December."
Real and also Chelsea are the two clubs showing most interest in developments
