Default Real Madrid to nab Pires?

Quote:
Arsenal's Pires on Real Madrid shopping list
tribalfootball.com - July 20, 2005

Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires is being considered by Real Madrid.
Real Madrid general manager Arrigo Sacchi is considering the Frenchman as a replacement for Santiago Solari, who signed for Inter Milan earlier this month.

Real have no experienced left-sided midfielder to fill the breach left by Solari and Sacchi has Pires high on a shortlist of possible replacements.

Pires almost signed for Valencia last month and has expressed an ambition to play in Spain before he retires.

Interesting to say the least.

I can see him moving, i would be shocked if he ends up at Madrid.

We could see Pires and Henry leaving after Vieira went i feel. The question is who will get Henry if he does go.
