Default MAKELELE FACING REAL WRATH

Real Madrid have announced they are starting disciplinary proceedings against Claude Makelele following the French midfielder's refusal to train with the team on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old's decision came amidst reports of a transfer swoop by big-spending Premiership side Chelsea.

Makelele's agent Marc Roger reportedly presented Madrid with a £7million offer for the midfielder from the Blues on Wednesday morning.

"Makelele has been unhappy here for two years, he can't continue playing alongside players such as Zidane and Beckham earning a fifth of what they earn," Roger said.

The France international, an integral part of Madrid's Primera Liga-winning side last season, was then a notable absentee as the team took their first training session following their Far East tour.

Madrid Director of Sport Jorge Valdano was not impressed by the situation.

"We will be opening disciplinary proceedings against him because he refused to train," Valdano said.

Makelele probaly does deserve more money but he signed a contract and should stick to it.

However real seem to think he is ruining his career while he thinks he thinks that things will be resolved soon.
