Diego Maradona has told Real Madrid director of sport Jorge Valdano that he should have signed AS Roma's Francesco Totti instead of David Beckham.

"If he had Totti at Real, he would say something more important than he says about Beckham," said 'El Pibe'. "Totti is a great player and he will keep on showing that. He represents Italian soccer and the Italian fans will have fun with him."

If Roma aren't competing for the Seria Snore title, and the CL title, then yes Totti would leave, he's said so himself.

Maradona is spot on IMO. Totti is an incredible player, right up their with Zidane, Figo and Raul.

I have nothing to back this up, but Totti will join INTER or Milan if he leaves Roma. Just a gut feeling....sorry Rosa!

Remember as a young lad, he was groomed to join Milan, but decided to stay with his home town club. Say what you want about him, but that earns nothing but respect in my books... :thumbsup:
