Carlos Queiros is a great coach,but he can´t have what he want: a defender!!!!a good one!!!...
Real Madrid just buys a great player by year:like Figo or Zidade...
And forgots that the defense is also important for any team...Madrid should buy a good promissing player like Ricardo Carvalho(Porto)...but Mr. Jorge Valdano (RM President) don´t want...Queiros can´t do miracles...

he needs a defenser,a good one, because he just have "kids"...he´s doing a good jog at RM,but he needs a defender that bring stabitiy to RM....

Im agree that Real need a defender, but Los Merengues has played very good in the last matches, and only Pavone`s miss against Mallorca has been a blunder.

When we have Ronaldo-Raul-Zidane-Figo-Beckham and Helguera + Carlos and Salgado, 90% of matches we score more goals than the another team, and thats the most important in football, to score more goal than the another team.

Remember that every team get a defeat in a season.

But, some great news from Madrid:

Real Madrid sports director Jorge Valdano has admitted they are a defender short.

"It is important to remember that at the beginning of the season we were interested in Milito and Ayala," Valdano told Marca.

"It is not so simple to much less find in the market players of our level at anytime - let alone in the month of December."

yea, football is about scoring goals, but when u're gonna play against teams with solid defences along with brilliant strikers you'll be in trouble without "solid" central defencers,

carlos' and salgado's really offencive mentality leaves you even more vounerable in defence
