A Nacho Novo goal twelve minutes from time gave Rangers a crucial 1-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle.
zoom - galleria In truth, the match was dire, riddled with poor passing a lack of thrust from both teams. Away from the football, the main talking point was the omission of captain Steven Pressley from the Hearts line-up as owner Vladimir Romanov continues to upset the mood at Tynecastle.
Rangers had the best of the play for much of the match but had to wait until the 78th minute to break the deadlock when Novo carried the ball and unleashed a long-range effort which deflected into Craig Gordon's bottom right-hand corner.
The win takes Rangers into joint-second with Aberdeen but they remain 15 points behind leaders Celtic.
