Well the Islanders got cheated out of a victory as the ref granted Harbor View FC a penalty in the last seconds of the game, where they tied. 2-2 Final

With Harbor Views surprising lost Islanders seem pois to take the group if they can deafet Inter on Thursday, which on paper seems easy but with their victory over HVFC, which should treat them as a serious contender.

With two games left the group standings are

Group C:

Puerto Rico Islanders (PUR) 4 pt +10

Inter Moengotapoe (SUR) 4 pt +1

Sap FC (ANT) 1 pt +0

Harbor View (JAM) 1 pt -1

7-1 Final

The boys face off against Joe Public on the 14 for the semifinals match of the competition.

Two things to look at Joe Public is the only team in the competition that hasnt been scored apone.

Second, the team is own by Concacaf dictator Jack Warner, so we need to be carefull cause we may get a ref who will be one sided.

CFU backs FIFA on poor stadiums
Friday, December 21 2007

COUNTRIES with stadiums which fail to comply with FIFA standards will be allowed to host World Cup 2010 qualifying matchs.

This decision was taken by FIFA, and at their recent executive committee meeting at the Crowne Plaza, on Tuesday, the Caribbean Football Union overwhelmingly endorsed this ruling.

According to CFU General Secretary Angenie Kanhai, countries stand to lose their home match if their facilities are not updated and brought up to FIFA standards.

Inspections by visiting FIFA teams will be carried out ahead of the qualifying match dates which kicks off in the region in February.

There were several other decisions taken at the meeting at which president Jack Austin Warner presided.

Among these decisions is the hosting of the CFU Youth Cup (under-16) by Trinidad and Tobago. This series will serve as preliminary qualifiers phase for the FIFA Under-17 World Championship.

It was also agreed that the 2008 Digicel Caribbean Cup Finals will be hosted by Jamaica in December.

It was further decided that CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh (TT) and Puerto Rico Islanders (Puerto Rico) will compete for the 3rd Caribbean Club berth into 2008-2009 CONCACAF Champions Cup.

This will be the first time three teams from the Caribbean will participate in the CONCACAF club competition, one of the benefits of the new format for the 2008-2009 season.

Jamaica's Harbour View and Trinidad and Tobago's Joe Public have already qualified. Meanwhile, the CFU decided their next ordinary congress will be held in Guadeloupe on March 2nd.

Cuba were given an automatic berth to the CONCACAF Futsal Finals. But a CFU Futsal qualifying competition with six teams will be held in Guyana in February, to provide the other two qualifiers. The CFU executive committed also fully endorsed the Digicel Kick Start Clinic which begins in January with Under-20 men of selected Caribbean nations.

Digicel will also sponsor the Under-15 Girls Competition in July targetting Caribbean Youth.

And the Digicel Caribbean Cup will be split up to assist members in their World Cup qualifying (preliminary rounds one and two) will be in early July, while round three will be held in the first week of August.

The eight-team Finals competition to secure the 2009 Gold Cup qualifiers, will be in Jamaica in December.
