his in great shape the best in years, Scolari made fun when he arrived at portuguese trainning he said " what are the english feeding you?"

after a injury he return and since he starter the team moved up from the relegation zone.

he had a good game against Saudi Arabia and he was able to show Scolari, the England been good to him, fit like never before, when he starter playing for Everton they were in 19th place now they are in 12th place and moving up.

Valente's season is over with Everton, he might be in jeapordy for the WC. Lets hope he gets healed quickly. Our defense is turning into crap.

Nuno Valente muito dificilmente actuará novamente na presente época, estando por isso em risco de falhar a presença no Mundial-2006, ao serviço da Selecção Nacional.

A revelação partiu do técnico do Everton, David Moyes, explicando que o jogador tem um problema na coxa, que obriga a paragem obrigatória de pelo menos seis semanas. Foi, aliás, por esse mesmo problema que Nuno Valente falhou os dois últimos jogos do Everton.

A confirmar-se o pior cenário, Nuno Valente tornar-se-ia na segunda «baixa» entre os habituais defesas convocados por Luiz Felipe Scolari, depois de Jorge Andrade, que contraiu grave lesão no início do presente mês ao serviço do seu clube, o Deportivo da Corunha.

Like I said this is bad karma and really I think Valente is lackluster at this point.

We have Good options but damn First Andrade now this crapolo.

I am hoping Ze Castro makes the team now because Ive seen 4 Games with academicaand he is a workhorse that has poise and makes Good decisions on his part.

We are spreading our defense out a bit too thin. Left Back is where we have the least options.

Ok, guys we can breathe a little bit easier. He will be out for 6 weeks so he will be in the WC, however I am now concerned about match fitness..

Dude, Valente is an excellent player. He is not overweight. You do know that defense is the key to our sucess. The playboys Ronaldo and Quaresma cant do it all by themselves. Im very worried about our defense.

Who would you rather have Caneira? WHo does not even have a dsefinite position and has never really played long with the other members of the team. And then waht? You would still start Carlos Martins and Moutinho. Then we will surelly not go past the group stage. Damn you Sportem fans!!!

Im not Hating on Valente but I like Ze Antonio and Ze castro who is 22 and is sometimes overlooked because he plays for a Lower rank team.
