Why would scolari not call up manelele, again?

This is shameful in his part -- the kid did all he could to prove himself, worked hard to get where he's at.

Would have been in a better position if he stayed at Benfica for a little longer. While at Benfica he has a first team spot and was a Portuguese international at a young age. It took him three years to get that second call up to Portugal because his career was a mess. I still hope it works out for him, he's talented.

Today was the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup and Fernandes got some minutes near the end. It looks like Valencia are actually going to use him this season unlike last year. This could be a good year for him because of this as well as Quieroz showing faith in him.

Supposedly played really well against Maritimo, trying to find a torrent to watch the game now. I really like this kid, he has all the tools was just missing the mental side of the game but it looks like he's growing.
