It's not like Hockey players, they sign a contract and honor it. I think it's more of a culture thing, he misses the warm weather and the lifestyle.

Homesick? One day, I hope he plays for Sporting unlike Figo who snubbed us.

I can tell you one thing, no one deserves that kind of money.... that's crazy! Only doctors, firefighters, and Policia should be rewarded, they risk their life.

it was something like 75 percent in favor of C Ronaldo staying with MU
La Liga is the best soccer league in the world..Ronaldo is making the right decision and to tell you the truth I blame Manchester United for the whole distraction at Euro 2008.Sir Alex is not a saint I remember how he treated Beckham.

Scolari To Fergie: You Will Not Intimidate Ronaldo

Goal.com - Manchester United - Scolari To Fergie: You Will Not Intimidate Ronaldo

Quote:
You'll never break Cristiano Ronaldo - he's the strongest man in football," he is quoted as saying in The People this Sunday morning.

Quote:
"People must understand that Cristiano becomes stronger with all his difficulties and the stories about him. I have never known anyone so mentally strong.

"What happened to him at the World Cup in 2006 in the quarter-final against England would have crushed many other players - but not Cristiano.

"And what has been happening around him here with the uncertainty about his future has not affected him - I know that because I have been with him.

"He is so strong mentally and he is in control of his own destiny - and because of that Manchester United can do nothing to hurt him."

Good point, a lot of mistakes have been made. And I also agree about La Liga, its high quality, I love watching it

Manchester United is a great club, but it's to Ronaldo's and Portugal's benefit if he moves to Spain..Ronaldo will conquer the Spanish La Liga the same way he dominated the Premiership.

the game in spain is more similar to what you come up against in international tournaments liek the world cup and euro. the players in the EPL, you rarely never see them lead their countries to glory in the world cup or euro cup.

if ronaldo went to madrid it would probably be better for the national team.

I'm not so sure about that.

Where were the Spanish based players when Italy won in 06, or when Greece won in 04? OK there were a good number of Spanish based players in Brazil's team in 02 but so what? They learned their trade in Brazil before moving abroad... In 1998 & 2000 there were also more English-based Frenchmen in the squads than Spanish-based ones.

So I'm not really sure whether that point has much evidence for it.

Ronaldo To Exploit FIFA Clause If Benched?
The Daily Star reports that FIFA will side against Manchester United for the second time this month regarding the ongoing Cristiano Ronaldo saga…
Print This Story Send To A Friend Contact Us galleria zoom The Red Devils recently submitted an official complaint over the manner in which Real Madrid have courted Ronaldo, claiming the Spanish giants were tapping-up their superstar winger.

But FIFA threw out the claims and insisted such approaches to transfer targets are so commonplace as to be negligible.

Ronaldo has since confirmed his desire to make the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu and believes he has earned the right to leave Old Trafford, thus invoking the wrath of United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Scot, fully backed by the club’s owners, is determined to keep hold of the 23-year-old regardless of whether he wants to stay or not.

It is understood Ferguson plans to freeze the Portugal star out of his first-team next season to teach him a lesson in loyalty – a plan which, if executed, would drastically inhibit the career progress of the player being touted as the best in the world.

But world football’s governing body could thwart United thwart yet again, as FIFA regulations directly their oppose their proposed course of action.

Any player who participates in less than 10 per cent of their club’s games in a season can tear up their contract, by the letter of the law, meaning Ronaldo would have to play in at least five games next season if United are to prevent him walking out.

It is unclear whether Ferguson could circumvent this by, for instance, using the former Sporting Lisbon sensation in domestic cup fixtures or simply giving him the odd run-out as a late substitute in meaningless or low-key fixtures.

Either way, it might be easier for all concerned if United take the ₤70million los Merengues are offering and look for a player who does not need to be taught the meaning of loyalty

Calderon says no to the deal

OJOGO ONLINE

Calderon anunciou desistência de Ronaldo
FERNANDO ROLA
