I knew who he was. I know he was pretty average at PSG. I know that he has benefited from being given space by Barca.
But you simply cannot deny his superior ability. In 2003/04 he was one of the main people that dragged Barca out of the midtable and into a record setting winning streak.
The guy is the most skilfull player in the world. His vision is as good as anyones. His creativity is unparalleled. He is strong, fast and quick witted.
Ronaldo is strong, fast, skilfull.....right now that is all he is. I don't think he has the ability or footballing brain to rival Ronaldinho. Don't get me wrong, his feet are quicker than anyone elses in the game, he is a wonderful talent still and he still has massive room for growth. He could be world class, especially if he was put in the right system.
Imo he doesn't suit being in a 442 on the wing and he suits being a left sided forward in the 4231 Portugal play. He is a forward, not a winger. I reckon his absolute best could be something close to Henry in the future (again, not quite as good because Henry is a more intelligent footballer).

Good point. However, we cannot completley deny the chance of CR eventually reaching the status that Ronaldinho is currently at, not saying it will happen, just saying it is possible.

see when great players today only make their names when they are with big european culbs ronaldinho wasn't known by anyone at psg i have only known him since the last season before he had left PSG and ronaldo is the same way an 18 year old kid going from slporting lisbon to manchester united is a big jump that isn''t very easily made because of the pressure he had on his shoulders to proform but look at where he is now to where he was then

He has made very little progress atall. Stronger and he's grown into his body, but no more effective.

maybe not the 12 goals he scored in each of the last 2 seasons in the Premier , but in Portugal his next to GOD
the other portuguese players can be a little jealous, but that's a fact, his Jersey his the #1best seller 10 to 1

I think it's because of the position they play him in.
For Portugal he is like a left sided forward. It's where he looks most comfortable.

like I said his a God in Portugal, not kidding its the true, just imagine if ever get's deal to Real Madrid
his loved by all the portuguese ladies, he can't go anywhere without been follow
what I'm trying to say he my not be important in England, but to us his up there next to Figo, Eusebio, Paulo Futre, etc.
Ronaldinho was stop in the Benfica game by Ricardo Rocha, you can stop him anytime, as long you don't let him turn, he didn't do much in the CL in the Benfica, AC Milan and Arsenal games, you guys most still be dreaming of the goal he scored in the last world cup.

No. We're dreaming of the fact that we see most of his games and he is awesome. A freakish combination of glorious technique, physique, pace and fantastic vision.
I have never seen another player do some of the things Ronaldinho does....except for Joe Cole...but he doesn't do them as effectively or consistently.

One thing I give to Ronaldinho is the fact that he is courageous, and isnt scared to try things during matches, thats what sets him apart from others
