Segundo o periódico, Alex Ferguson, o técnico dos campeões ingleses, ficou entusiasmado com a exibição produzida por Cristiano Ronaldo na noite de quarta-feira na inauguração do Estádio Alvalade XXI durante a qual a equipa do Sporting bateu o United por 3-1.

«O Manchester vai tentar convencer o Sporting com a sua poderosa artilharia económica para que Ronaldo siga para Manchester e não para Barcelona», pode ler-se no Mundo Deportivo.

they been talks for months, but Alex Ferguson just got impressive as of lately , they had a chance to get the kid for nothing, I don't think they going to get kid for 11 m, Sporting is in good shape financial with Quaresma money and the new revenue coming out of the stadium.
