Carvalho earned an 8 rating from SkySports for his "Steady Display" in Chelsea's 1-0 win over Wigan.

Maybe those emails to SkySports made a difference

I'm looking at the replay of the game with Arsenal, he had a great game
we got 3 central defenders
Ricardo Carvalho
Jorge Andrade [Desp. Corunha]
Fernando Meira [Stuggart]
2 of the three will be starters.

You think so? I don't think they have anything to offer Chelsea any more. Chelsea has in a way surpassed Carvalho, Ferreira and overweight Maniche. I only wish Chelsea would have kept Tiago because that is a guy who is getting better and better. I thinkCarvalho is starting to decline, I hope I am wrong but Im affraid we have seen his better days. Ferreia I never liked and poor Maniche has deff. seen better days.
If Chelsea want more Portuguese its time for them to look at guys like Simao, Manuel Fernandes, Moutinho, Quaresma and other promising youngsters.

Why I want Simao at Stanford Bridge?
He doesn not dive like the balding Dutchman.

Lol....Robben is an amazing player though. You will see that at the World Cup...he has struggled for consistent runs in the team, but at his best he is one of a few unstoppable players.

The man's got skills. I am affraid that he will exploit the defenses at the WC. Im affraid Portugal is destined to face either Holland or Argentina. Hopefully we will get Argentina but with our luck we will face a mighty Holland. And this time unlike before where we have owned Holland they are much more powerfull.
