Juvenis do Sporting jogam no Brasil
O ministro brasileiro do Desporto, Agnelo Queiroz, apresentou anteontem a I Taça CPLP (Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa) de futebol, que reunirá em Brasília, de 15 a 26 de Maio, equipas juvenis dos oito países de língua oficial portuguesa e da região administrativa especial de Macau. Portugal será representado pelos juvenis do Sporting, que segundo o conselheiro de imprensa da embaixada de Portugal, Carlos Fino, "estão entusiasmadíssimos".
Agnelo Queiroz reconheceu que a Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa é ainda pouco conhecida no Brasil e que a competição possibilitará uma maior aproximação entre o Brasil e os outros integrantes da CPLP, especialmente os Países Africanos de Língua Oficial Portuguesa (Palop) - Angola, Cabo Verde, Guiné-Bissau, Moçambique e São Tomé e Príncipe.
"O Brasil esteve muitos anos de costas para os irmãos africanos, mas isto está a ser mudado. Colocar a relação com a África, em especial com os países de língua portuguesa, como prioridade é uma mudança significativa na política internacional do Brasil", referiu Agnelo Queiroz, para quem o torneio juvenil poderá ser o primeiro passo para a realização de um evento futebolístico a nível profissional.
O ministro considerou que o torneio abre possibilidades de preparação de atletas e treinadores de língua portuguesa no Brasil e vai permitir que o país tenha uma participação mais activa no Mundial de 2010, que será na África do Sul.

finally Brasil doing there part, Portugal been with our brothers from the ex Colonies from day one, one of the reason they continue with our portuguese language, nice to see the Brasil going to do there part, they need a lot help from sports to humanatirian, economical etc issues
let's not forget the decease Mello and Portugal was the reason the East Timor got there independence back from Indonesia
