I will predict, Ronaldo & Quaresma in the starting line-up! Yannick as the striker and Antunes at LB!

In addition to Carvalho and possibly Deco, Simao is out as well so it looks like more playing time for either Danny, Duda or Quaresma....
This of course if Queiroz actually uses Ronaldo as a striker.

Simão de baixa três semanas
INTERNACIONAL PORTUGUÊS LESIONADO NO JOELHO DIREITO

don't look good for Portugal

LISBON, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Portugal recalled Cristiano Ronaldo to their squad on Friday for this month's World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Albania.

"It is great to be back," the Manchester United winger told the Portuguese Soccer Federation's website.

"It is always a great pride representing our country and I work hard and well to contribute to the success of the team," said Ronaldo, just back from ankle surgery.

Portugal visit Group One rivals Sweden on Oct. 11 before hosting Albania four days later.

Coach Carlos Queiroz will be without defender Ricardo Carvalho and midfielder Simao Sabrosa through injury.

Queiroz included Chelsea playmaker Deco in the squad although he has not fully recovered from a thigh injury.

Goalkeepers: Quim (Benfica), Eduardo Carvalho (Braga), Daniel Fernandes (VfL Bochum)

Defenders: Jose Bosingwa (Chelsea), Paulo Ferreira (Chelsea), Fernando Meira (Galatasaray), Bruno Alves (Porto), Pepe (Real Madrid), Vitorino Antunes (Lecce), Miguel (Valencia), Tonel (Sporting)

Midfielders: Raul Meireles (Porto), Joao Moutinho (Sporting), Carlos Martins (Benfica), Danny (Zenit St Petersburg), Maniche (Atletico Madrid), Deco (Chelsea), Yannick Djalo (Sporting)

Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), Nuno Gomes (Benfica), Hugo Almeida (Werder Bremen), Nani (Manchester United), Ricardo Quaresma (Inter Milan)

That was Extremly boring football from portugal... Raul Mereiles is horrible lol... The guy could not make a pass if his life depended on it.. Danny should have came in way before he did.. a tie is a tie it's better than a loss.... And CR7 isin't playing like he really can!

I taped the match on setanta and they will be showing it live at 9:40pm but I will be sleeping due to my son's 6:00am Hockey game...Portugal did their job by getting a point in a very difficult place and stayed within striking distance of the lead pack..Denmark and Sweden will both drop points and I'm pretty sure we will smash the Danes in Copenhagen..

Anybody feel he was rushed too soon?? An ankle ijury is serious business. I sustained the injury back in HS and it takes months to heal, it really is sore. I'm scared he might be a different player.... let's hope he rebounds!
