Vazzie with a great run but wasteful opportunity. We lack the finishing today!

we lucky to have Rui Patricio, could be a lot worse, Portugal just ran out of gas, now got play for second place with the most points

Rui was ok! Hugo Ventura deserves a shot though. Portugal didn't have it, shit happens, you move on.

Not really, he looked stupid on the 2nd goal.
Rui Caçador and his stupid line-ups/subs are to blame for this loss. Candeias and Barbosa, at least one of them should have started. Gama is a counterattack player, not suited to the style of play we wanted.
Vaz Te is crap, he can't shoot to save his life. Veloso was terrible, one of the worst players on the field, along with V.Fernandes. Both should be benched for good.

England reached the play-offs for the 2009 European Under-21 Championship as goals from James Milner and Gabriel Agbonlahor defeated Portugal.
Milner's 44th-minute penalty put Stuart Pearce's side ahead in their first competitive fixture played at Wembley.
And Milner's new Aston Villa team-mate Agbonlahor fired in the second to ensure England finished convincing winners of Group Three.
Agbonlahor, who defied a stomach bug to play, was named man of the match.
He was substituted in the 76th minute having tormented Portugal's defence in the torrential rain.
Milner, who joined Villa from Newcastle for £12m in late August, converted from the spot after Paulo Machado clattered into Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba.
Agbonlahor, passed fit before the game, doubled the lead after latching onto a pass from West Ham's Mark Noble and sprinting into space before slotting the ball underneath Portugal goalkeeper Patricio.

Sure, let's all blame the coach! Barbosa never gets playing time, why? And Veloso doesn't show leadership qualities.... Manelele was next to nothing. England played well, they were inspired and were deserving.

Mancienne and two Villa boys stood out for me.
Weird to think Micheal didn't get loaned out, when he's England best under 21 defender.
