He actually says Ronaldo is the clear choice for best player of the year because Kaka and Messi have been inured.....I dont remember Kaka being injured but of course since Ronaldo isnt Brazilian he has to add that comment.

I know he didnt miss any champions league games.
And even if healthy for a full season, Messi as well, they wouldnt have had a better season. But still, Man Utd has to win the CL final for it to matter. And more importantly he has to play well for Portugal.

Ronaldo will be the best player for the foreseeable future.

if anyone thinks hes a one or two season wonder, they will be wrong

unless he recievs serious injury. He has the skill, the talent, the strength and also the work ethic needed to be the best.

Looks like Makakula is out and there is no point in bringing both him and Almeida. I think it will be a fight between Djalo and Postiga for the 3rd forward spot next to Gomes and Almeida.
Scolari confirmed in an interview on RTP last night though that he is bringing Petit, big mistake.

Bringing Nuno and Petit just shows how much Scolari is out of touch with our team. These players can no longer perform to the level required. I don't understand this mans thought process.

I'm not a fan of Scolari but I like that he's bringing Nuno, Nuno always comes up big for the NT. As far as Petit, I dont think he deserves to be called up based on his season performance but if he was healthy I would want him on the team. Maybe Scolari's thinking is that he's healthy now and will be a great pair of fresh legs to have considering he didnt play much this year.

Guys, I've been saying this all along, we will never win anything with scolari taking charge. He came in with bravado, people called him "Great" because he won titles with brazil.... but I still think he's overrated. We're big massive underachievers and having not won a title, it's time to take big risk and Petit is the same man that cost us the WC, experience my ass.

Scolari must make the right decision in picking players that will make an impact not his favorites who won't contribute, if he does.... we have a shot. That means, No Petit, No Gomes, No Postiga, and No makukula!

Well, I wouldn't say he cost the WC but he is mistake prone, for an experienced player, thats not good. Veloso or Pele in that spot..... Scolari has got to realize that.

Did you watch the Germany game? Pathetic, and he continues to fail with benfica.
