According to Queiroz, He'll test Ronaldo as a striker in future games.

Carlos Queiroz knows Ronaldo, as a player, better than almost anyone else. If he thinks he can play as a striker then there is a reason to believe it.

Hoping to see good positive changes tomorrow after a long era with Scolari. Scolari was still effective but I believe it was time to move on, good luck to Carlos Queiroz.

I always liked the idea of trying Ronaldo in a free role or up front lets see how Queiroz makes it happen.

Looks like Queiroz is testing at new players.... Maniche is back with the club. I like this idea because it gives him a perspective who's wants it more.

Yeah then in the future if we are in need of a player he knows who to look for I think that so far, Queiroz is doing a great job.

I was just watching O Trio de Ataque and one of the panelists made a very good point. He said its funny how because Queiroz is now the coach (and because he's Portuguese) every one is saying we're back to the old days of Portugal not qualifying for tournaments because we only have 4 points after 3 games.

He said, and I agree (especially since the loss to Denmark was partially due to bad luck) that Queiroz has done just as good or if you consider the teams Portugal has faced, Queiroz has done better in this qualification then Scolari did in his first 3 qualifiers for Euro 2008.

Quieroz
Malta vs Portugal 0-4 3pts
Portugal vs Denmark 2-3 0 pts
Sweden vs Portugal 0-0 1 pt
Total 4 pts

Scolari
Finland vs Portugal 1-1 1pt
Portugal vs Azerbaijan 3-0 3pts
Poland vs Portugal 2-1 0pts
Total 4 pts

You guys need to relax and let Queiroz do his thing. He has only been in charge for 4 games, of which he hasnt had a full squad for any match and yet we are still with our qualification in our own hands.

I just hope Portugal doesn't take Albania for granted and slack off.

Jesualdo defende Queiroz: «Não há magia, é preciso tempo»
[ 2008/10/17 | 13:27 ] Vítor Hugo Alvarenga

Maisfutebol - Última Hora - NotÃ*cia

Jesualdo Ferreira, treinador do F.C.

«Estou aqui a manifestar o meu apoio a Carlos Queiroz.

Oh dam. Jesualdo is defending him. Thats like the kiss of death

Everyone, the time to fairly judge Queiroz will come. It is not yet. I have no problems bashing coaches just ask anyone how I feel about Scalari but to judge him, we need to give him some time. If after that time, he has not been able to get this team on track, I will be the first one to get on his case.

The players (especially in Portugal) are getting off too easy hear. This was Albania. It should not matter what players we choose, we should be able to beat Abania at home in an important game. Not to mention down a man. If the players had an ounce of humility and pride in their uniform, even I completely drunk could have coached this team.

Lets keep calm here guys, We are still going to be at the World Cup. We will need to make it during the playoffs in November 2009. I think we will face Croatia in a 2 game series. Also we missed Carvalho, Deco , Simao and Maniche. So we will be ok. A ton of football left to be played.

Agreed. Portugal are not 100% but I'm not optimistic that Ronaldo is at his best.

With Man U this season, he seems like his head is elsewhere like he doesn't want to be there; that's my feeling.
