I think Carlos Queiroz just wants to leave Manchester United on good terms so maybe one day he will be able to come back or sign one of their players. He's in no rush because Portugal don't play too soon so he is just trying to please them right now by waiting. Apparently Manchester United don't want to lose him, with good reason.

The ones I spoke to don't, thats for sure. They blamed him for that 4-5-1/4-2-3-1, that Manchester united play on occasion. Say he's too defensive in his tactics. But, it seemed to work for them the times they used it in the Champions League.
Carlos Queiroz is also a good judge of players. What a gamble to sign Ronaldo in 2003. People today may not agree with me but 5 years ago, before that friendly against sporting, people would have called him crazy.

Thats what I like about Queiroz you know he will give the most talented players a chance so Antunes, Pele and Fernandes should get a good chance to play, if he becomes coach.

Manchester United last night agreed to release assistant manager Carlos Queiroz from his Old Trafford contract so that he can become the new coach of Portugal.
Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant met chief executive David Gill yesterday to hammer out a severance deal and is expected to be confirmed as the coach of his home country later this week.
Breaking up: Carlos Queiroz (left) is leaving his post as assistant to Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson to return as Portugal manager
Portugal have agreed to pay United in the region of £1million in compensation for the 55-year-old.
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has denied that his club's manager Roberto Martinez is in the running to succeed Queiroz, while Barnsley manager Simon Davey has played down reports linking him with the job.
