Torneio na Suécia

Quinta-Feira , 20 Março 2008

A Selecção Nacional Sub-21 vai participar, entre os dias 25 e 31 de Maio, num torneio promovido pela Federação de Futebol da Suécia e que conta também com as presenças, para além da selecção anfitriã, com as formações da França e da Holanda.

Com a organização deste torneio de grande nível a federação nórdica tem como intuito preparar a futura fase final do Campeonato da Europa de Sub-21 da qual são anfitriões.

Eis o calendário de jogos:

25 de Maio de 2008 – Domingo
Estádio: Vångavallen, Trelleborg
Holanda – França
Suécia – Portugal

28 de Maio de 2008 – Quarta-feira
Estádio: Malmö Stadion, Malmö
França – Portugal
Suécia – Holanda

31 de Maio de 2008 – Sábado
Estádio: Olympia, Helsingborg
Suécia – França
Portugal – Holanda

Poderão ser convocados seis jogadores “fora” do escalão de Sub-21
Para o ciclo 2007/2009 (que abrange as épocas 2007/08 e 2008/09) apenas os jogadores nascidos após 1 de Janeiro de 1986 podem ser chamados aos Sub-21 mas, para este Torneio Internacional da Suécia, cada selecção poderá convocar três jogadores nascidos em 1985 e outros três sem limite de idade, num total de 22 atletas.

A federação sueca foi assim ao encontro das pretensões de duas das selecções que participam no Torneio – as da Holanda que prepara a sua participação nos Jogos Olímpicos e as da França que solicitou que fosse reconsiderada a data limite dos jogadores que participam no Torneio.

Nota: Os horários dos jogos serão divulgados assim que estes sejam disponibilizados pela Organização do Torneio.

Looks like Pele and Manelele in midfield, I have a feeling our central midfield pairing in the U21's is stronger than in the A.
