UEFA admite alargar Europeu de 16 para 24 equipas

O Comité Executivo da UEFA vai reunir-se hoje e amanhã em Bordéus para analisar diversos temas, entre os quais está a hipótese de alargamento do número de equipas na fase final do Europeu, que poderá passar das actuais 16 para 24. Em agenda está ainda a abordagem à organização do Euro'2012, atribuída à Ucrânia e à Polónia, mas rodeada de problemas em termos logísticos. Face a tais dificuldades, Michel Platini, presidente da UEFA, já admitiu retirar-lhes a prova.

well this makes it alot easier to qualify, I doubt well see portugal miss any qualifications now that its 24 teams.
