Frank, People just don't respect the portuguese culture.
I agree. With have to work that much harder to gain respect but I don't care -- let them hate.
Let's win the Euros to prove we are not a slouch.

jec1 nobody thinks Portugal is crap at football...
Portugal currently have some of the best wingers in the world (C. Ronaldo, Quaresma, Simao.... Not to mention Figo who's almost finished and Nani who's about to start)
U finished 4th in the WC and 2nd in Euro04, I think most people respect Portugal as a footballing country.

So how come every article I read is about how portugal is a diving nation, bunch of cheaters.
Even when we beat Brasil people started to make excuses that Dingo wasn't in the lineup, so it doesn't matter.
The fact is I'm afraid Portugal will be the team with so much talented players yet not win a title. That is my concern. I do believe the academies deserve some recogniton especially Sporting's youth system. The coaches are doing an amazing job developing these kids for the big clubs.
Another slap in the face is when Fifa doesn't give us the proper rankings, Our nation ahs dramatically improved over the years and yet were still in the bottom ten when we should be in the top 4.

Who cares what people say... the point is Portugal have done well in the last 2 tournaments so when it matters they've shown up.
It always happens to some country, there's always 1 position missing, unfortunately for u, u don't really have a great striker atm.
and as for FIFA rankings, I can't see the reasoning behind Italy not being 1st & Portugal not being in the top 4. It's a joke, everyone knows it.

I had to give a rep to Kyan along with Carrick and MUFC, they all stick with C Ronaldo even when the things didn't look good special after the world cup, some of the others just got on the bandwagon.

I just don't get y u guys r constantly thinking nobody rates u when u've already played and beaten a lot of the big boys in tournaments...
And TBH I was very pissed off with Ronaldo at the time of the WC (he knocked out both my countries! ) & I did turn against him, but I told my sister the next day, give me a week and I'll get over it (a month later I got his name on the back of my shirt again )

Oli_Kahn probably knows more about how Karimi's doing than I do but he's not doing great, barely plays and he's probably leaving.

I'm surprised an Iranian club attracted a foreign manager, especially one from Europe, I don't know anything about the situation in the league though but it sounds like he's doing a good job.
