he was fantastick in the final vs Angola a 18 year old, playing with the U20, his also the 3rd keeper for Sporting, he should arrived today and join the Sporting team

everybody talking about the save he made against Angola, they call him the new Vitor Damas of Sporting

they kept him on the Sporting instead of veteran keeper Nelson

Ricardo will be the keeper but he was save from working out today

usual the coach's use,s the starker keeper on one side with the subs and the sub keeper with the starting team,
but in this case he didn't use Ricardo who by the way his playing hurt just like Petit,

Why not Give the young keeper a chance?

Btw, Daniel Fernandes is a traitor. The kid doesn't know how to speak Portuguese and yet he is laughing having fun. Canada needs a young talented keeper, I'm afraid it will happen to Micheal perreira & Jeffrey Gonscalves.

correction most be made
Daniel Fernandes, speaks perfect portuguese
he took night class's the past three years
he also study portuguese history,
saw a special on him, it was his parents influence, it was hard for him to leave Canada at such a young age, to play for Porto juniores,

he had to work double hard to make it thru the portuguese ranks,

It doesn't matter. So he is sent to the Porto juniores, You still can play for your country. Excuses, excuses -- I hear it all the time. I'm pissed that it might be a pattern where top luso-canadian head elsewhere.

We already seeing it with Hargreaves, Deguzman, etc.

I starter a program 25 years ago, I will be honor this upcoming saturday,
do you think our club got' any recognition, our Luso americano players got work extra hard, or they will not have a chance, its a suburb thing with the american parents calling there sons to the state all star teams
I can name you 300 luso americano kids the didn't get a chance
here is my club, so don't blame the kids I was there

Frank You don't realize the epidemic in Canadian soccer, it's bad. Now we Finding a new coach and young players are coming up From the ranks.

I Just hate it when these kids are being influence by other teams. Yeah, it decided when he was 15 but it's a logic choice. He would rather play For Portugal who has a better chance of winning then a developing Canadian NT who hasn't made the WC since 86' not to mention success.

I use to go to some state meetings after awhile I just gave up. because if I would talk about a Luso americano kid or spanish they just didn't want nothing to do with us

I remember the case of Peter Villegas who today plays for Puerto Islanders and a ex Metrostars/NY Red Bulls, I use to pick him up for games, basically get him out of bed, pay for lunch and buy him soccer shoes

I wish more of our kids would have a chance to play in Portugal or in the MLS, but its very hard, to climb to the top you need a lot of padrinhos
