thanks great video
Manuel Bento [Benfica] Jose Antonio [Belenenses] RIP
Alvaro the coach at Olhanense, Carlos Manuel still coach's, Paulo Futre still works for At Madrid, Fernando Gomes, I saw him yesterday at Porto's game, coach Jose Torres very sick at this moment, Antonio Sousa the new coach at Penafiel, excellent team, they went on strike after this match, Inacio coach's a Iranian team, Oliveira who saved a goal on the line, just finish a career in beach soccer.

Yes, great memories! I was only 8 years old at the time, but I'm thankful for our heroes, representing portugal, and who gave it their all fighting to win.

Yes, "Os Patrícios" -- Futre is the greatest player ever!
If he played in ingerland, or spain....he would be oe of the greats. But he was a loyal player to his country & to his people. Don't forget chalana, gomes, nene, & jordao were the mold of that team. I still have a catalogue my dad recorded on VHS....back then he was a huge supporter not so much now. He thinks were premadonnas and we will win nothing unless we play as a team, I agree!
Futre is one of my heroes along with eusebio, oceano, Sérgio Conceição, vitor damas, rui barros (he didn't fufill his potential, at that time was probably the best player next to PF)

Futre did play in spain, for atleitico de madrid.
hes an icon at that club. their president (the infamous Gil y Gil) considered futre the best player in the world.
I dont know if Portugal played more as a team back then, but the end results were not as good as now. they were disgraceful in 86 world cup and couldnt qualify again for another 10 years.
its funny when you look at Portugal's world cup history - its pretty semetrical
4 world cups
1966 - 2006 40 years gap. 3rd place and 4th place
then inbetween, 1986, and 2002. both times 1 impressive win (1-0 vs england, and 4-0 vs poland) and then 2 embarassing losses (USA 02 and morrocoo 86 were very embarassing losses), talented teams that underacheived.
i actually thought in 02 we were going to the quarter finals at the least...
me and my brother went to school after the usa loss, people were talking shit and my brother punched some guy in the face :O i was only in grade 9 back then.
the game Portugal vs korea, ill never forget it. my friends call me crazy but im actually proud of portugal in this game, one of my faviurte games ever. korea had the crowd and the ref on their side, portugal was down to 9 men but fought until the end... they made like 5 clear cut chances to score.. they played their hearts out.

Yep, my bad....I know he scored 30 goals for Athletico but What I meant was his value was never appreciated, he was a globetrotter much like ever portuguese player, played with milan, marseille.
