Change? He hasn't made a big change in years! Scolari is afraid of taking risks, and that article just proves how desperate he is to get this players into full mode.

This is the same man that would rtaher play his favorites then the deserving talent.

A bunch of babies. This is too much. Scolari should leave these idiots out. We need hungry players out there and not money makers.

Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has turned down an approach to take over as Mexico national team coach, at least until after UEFA EURO 2008.

The Brazilian stated on Wednesday: " I received with pleasure an invitation from Mexico but for the moment my main objective is to do a good job with Portugal and take them as far as possible in EURO 2008."

Scolari, in comments reported by the Lusa news agency, added: "I have a deal with Portugal but I hope I'll be in a position to take a decision on my future soon."

Scolari took over as Portugal coach in January 2003 after leading Brazil to 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™ glory.

And Felipão, who turned down a chance to become England coach after the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany, has not ruled out extending his contract with Portugal to lead them at South Africa 2010.

I will personally get stinking drunk the day that Scolari leaves. I feel sorry for the Mexican team though.

Felipao as a tactician lacks for sure but as a motivator he is awesome and is the best thing that happened to our NT in the past decade. Our beautiful football isn't there like it used to be but the heart and desire of the team is/was...

He knows how to handle superstars. That is what he did in Brazil that is what he did with the team he inherited in Portugal. He had the balls to run his own show dispite the Portuguese politics around him. That I will give him credit for. Now, the moment he has to think on his feet or God forbid change his mind on something ? Forget it. If you have a veteran team, he can do well. For our team now, he is a nithmare.

I would have no problems with Scolari leaving!

But I must say, can someone tell Pele to shut up!!! He always puts his two cents in like when he said Ronaldo isnt good enough to be the best in the world!

Yes he was a great player but if he's so smart how come we don't see him out there coaching?? Dude, just smile for the cameras and shut up.

Pele has been known to talk too much when asked questions by reporters, I think he is just too nice to say the words NO COMMENT lol.

I lost all of the respect for Pele, once one of my heroes, he just wants attention, he thinks will never be another Pele, wrong, for a player the never played in a European league he just talks to much

that's why I love Eusebio, never says anything about anybody else

I have huge respect for Pele the player that he was but I have to be honest, he would do himself a huge favour keeping his mouth shut sometimes.

I love pele! More of a controversial figure, every time he speaks, it makes him look bad.
