Euro 2008 is sold out
15 hours, 5 minutes ago

Buzz Up PrintVIENNA, Austria (AP)—The European Championship is sold out.

All 1.05 million tickets for the 31-match soccer tournament in Austria and Switzerland that starts Saturday have been sold.

“All tickets have been sold, not one single one left—and haven’t been so for a while,” Euro 2008 chief operating officer Martin Kallen said Sunday. “We are obviously trying to stop tickets from being sold on the black market. But all tickets now being sold are black-market tickets.”

Euro 2008 organizers said 38 percent of the tickets went to national football federations, 33 percent to the general public, 14 percent to sponsors and TV partners, with the remaining 15 percent being broken up between hospitality, UEFA members and host city and stadium owner factions.

A ticket for the June 29 final at Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna will cost between $249 and $855, with all other matches selling from $70 to $171.

There are plenty of portuguese supporters, some live in the Swiss cantons.

I hope CR doesn't eat too much swiss cheese or chocolate

Portugal downplays past results, euphoria from fans
Fox Sports Thu, 05 Jun 2008 10:11 AM PDT
After impressive campaigns at its past two major competitions, the pressure of expectation is mounting on Portugal as the European Championship draws closer. After a runner-up finish at the 2004 Euro and a fourth-place finish at the 2006 World Cup, anything short of a trip to the semifinals will likely be seen as a disappointment for the Portuguese.

Benfica takes the FPF to court and claims 30 million euros

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Benfica takes the Portuguese Federation to court over the handle of the Porto CL decision and claims 30 million euros

"Recurso do Benfica? Isso é problema deles. Não tenho nada a dizer."

Platini when it comes to quality soccer he still put's Portugal at the top
players included Deco and Ibrahimovic

Euro 2008
Platini elege Portugal e Deco

Uefa to pay the clubs for time use by the national team players
agora a UEFA abre cordões à bolsa
