The fact Italy are sitting back isn't surprising, but Italy usually battles it out in midfield alot, something there not doing now. Its probably because its a friendly, because they have hardly committed any tackles.

Have Portugal ever considered dressing one of their great midfielders up front in attack?

I'm thinking this is what they should do. They have no problem breaking in on goal, but they can't seem to finish. Roma had this problem and they finally moved Totti into the forward position again after playing as an AM for so many years.

Ricardo is done. he's been great in the past but now it's time for quim or rui to start.

I want a Trio d' attack - Quaresma/Ronaldo/Nani - this is our best assets, we shouldn't bench either one of them. Veloso is too good to be left off, petit is old. I know he's tough, just gotta move on.
