I think this is a good omen we are playing vs Turkey in the opener
not since 1955 have the turks beaten Portugal, 5 games since and Portugal has the upperhand including a 1-0 in Euro 1996 and a 2-0 win in Euro 2000.
The way they play suits our game, they liek to attack and open up.
BTW in 2002 Scolari's Brazil team met Turkey in their world cup opener. they won the game and went on to win the tournament, as well as playing turkey in the semi finals again.
the same thing could potentially happen, Portugal turkey in the semi finals again... it would be funny. perhaps Turkey is a good luck charm for Scolari?
Turkey is a hot-headed team just like Portugal, we have to avoid controversey in this game.

Euro 08 Portugal-0-2- Switzerland
this game will have a impact of 56, million euros
same as of the Italia, France and Holland games
abola.pt - «A BOLA on-line»
Futebol Internacional

Swiss who by the way lost to the USA, I believe in goal by Adu, are preparing games against England
England out of the Euro will also have a game coming up against France

Thats right. We also know that Portugal have the bad habit of playing to thier apponents level. Respect has to be given to all of your apponents and we have to play at our top level in all of our games.

Really? I remmeber watching this game at home...
hard for me to remmeber I was only 9 but i remmeber my dad criticising baia for that goal
It was a special game for me, because I first started to follow to soccer from the 94 world cup when I was like 6 or 7 years old and Portugal wasnt involved so it was nice to see Portugal play in a tournament.
I liked Romario, Baggio, and Joao Pinto lol
