The team needs to concentrate for full 90 minutes I think they will be harder team then Azerbaijan.
against Poland they had 50/50 of ball possession.

I don't think Portugal can play or knows how to, with 2 strikers, who would we leave out of midfield?

if we would play with the 2 up front we would have to leave deco or Quaresma on the bench

It's possible but I doubt scolari would leave behind deco, maniche or Veloso....we need at lest two DM in his mind. I think veloso by himself does a great job.

Imagine the twin towers in the box, they would be difficult to stop, let alone pushed around.

If Portugal were going to play two strikers they would have done it when Nuno Gomes was healthy. Makukala probably wont play unless portugal is winning 3 - 0 . Is Makukala really going to ever fill his potential? If he does, wouldn't it be great to have an Almeida and Makukala combo? Portugal usually has a lot of skilled players under 6 feet. Adding these giants gives us a whole new inventory of weapons. Doesnt it make perfect sense for the country with the greatest wingers/crossers in the world to have Two tall strikers? Having said this we have to leave the two trincos system in the past. I know we use it to cover for our attacking full backs, but, under this system have we ever won a tournament?

I'm sure should verde is proud to say, the kid made it. The twin towers upfront should be a formidable tandem, but likely that won't happen caue our formation doesn't allow it.

I like the "Twin Towers" concept should work really well and I'm looking forward to it being used in the game.

I like your slogan REP.

We wont be starting Makukula with Almeida, thats for sure.

I reckon Scolari/Murtosa will field the exact same line-up that faced the Azeris, we played well, no need to change.

Correct, maki will be in the bench. Almeida is on fire, why would we mess that up?

Let's hope for a win!!

We can all agree that we need a two complimentary strikers on the field. it will do us justice knowing we got Q-Boy who's a good crosser and Ronaldo, the playmaker.

This line-up is fairly impressive....we all know Gomes struggled because he didn't have a partner in crime. It's time to rethink our formation til we have a winning formula. Two DMs is good enough, certainly veloso can do the job.

Poland 24
Portugal 20
Finland 20
Serbia 17

This is a big game for us. We win, we stay one step closer to 1st place. Poland aren't going to lose points. I expected them to be on top, they're hungry. I'm scared of the fins, who knows what their tactis might be, but I won't be surprised if they try to hurt ronaldo.

Jec1, I believe It is reasonable to expect Poland to drop points.

Poland's last two games are vs Belgium (home) and Serbia (away)...
dont forget poland has lossed 3 games whereas portugal has lossed only 1 game - poland isnt an invincible force.

Bottom line - forget about poland. Portugal must focus on Portugal only, win the game tomorrow vs Kazak and they will finally get some breathing room... then we think about the final two vs the Armos and the Fins.

About the 4-4-2 system with Hugol and Maku up front, It sounds pretty interesting

but dont forget Portugal will lose control of the midfield with such a lineup. Veloso is a good player but I think his lack of speed means he needs to work alongside another CM/DM who can cover for him. Deco can play from deep - but I dont know if he has the tackling skill needed, maybe it would work but Portugal's defense seems to suffer alot when the trincos arent doing their job I dont know if it will work but you never know.
