Jec i totally see your point with leaving out Nuno Gomes and Petit. The only reason these bums are starting is becuase they keep the others calm with the experience and wisdom they've gained. But Petit and Gomes are typical nervous porkchops. Petit cant keep his cool and shoots from downtown Lisboa and if Nuno Gomes gets a ball at his feet he falls over and strikes it with the weirdest part of his left foot.
You know who proved they can be cool under pressure? Those cocky mofos Nani CR and RQ. Who even has the bolas to try some of the things they do? If Simao starts over Quaresma on wednesday Scolari will never win us anything. Maybe i'd think about playing Simao in the Middle but even then i want to see what Moutinho can do just incase deco goes down for the euro.
By the way, its the same story everytime we play larger Euro teams. They are bigger and stronger and slap us around (eg.GERMANY, on wed. Serbia's backline) How can u win battles in the air with a guy named FREAKING PETIT! We have a bunch of little guys like simao, petit, nuno gomes. We have to start thinking about this sort of thing... strenght and size makes a big difference. You have the option of Meira or Petit at DM and Gomes and Almeida at CF. Its obvious... i think.

Portugal can't be over confident, we usual have problems with this teams away from home, so play theme like you play against the top and we will do just fine.

IS he stupado? We must win. We have to prove to the other teams that were awake and in control.
The best case scenario -- A thrashing scoreline with all our wingers contributing at some point.
The worst case scenario -- A loss and it will lower our morale.
Serbia will win. Portugal Just can't get over the hump after a stellar performance unless they prove me wrong.

I completely disagree. Nuno Gomes has always been clutch for the NT. He strives in crucial situations and plays big games against strong opponents. Unlike Pauleta who can only score against scrubs, Nuno has been taking care of business since Euro 2000. He is very important player to have on our squad.
Petit is the only natural Defensive Midfielder we have..until we have a better replacement he will be in our squad...like it or not

I would also have Simao, Q, and Ronaldo on at the same time with Almeida upfront because the serbs are tall and physical especially in the back. The inclusion of Meira instead of Petit could pacify some of the aerial threat from the serbs.
My lineup
------------------------------Almeida----------------------------
Q-------------------------------------------------------CR/Simao
-------------------------------Simao/CR-------------------------
-----------------------Meira/Petit-------------Tiago--------------
Ferreira---------------Andrade------Ricky----------------Miguel
--------------------------------Fernandes (If Ricardo isn't fit)
