Quinhentos "sem-abrigo" da região de Lisboa vão viver, no próximo sábado, um dia diferente nas suas vidas. Serão convidados especiais da Federação Portuguesa de Futebol para assistirem ao importante jogo de qualificação para o Campeonato da Europa de 2008, entre Portugal e a Bélgica, que terá lugar no Estádio José Alvalade, a partir das 21h00.

Esta terça-feira, o Presidente do organismo que superintende o futebol nacional, Gilberto Madaíl, procedeu à entrega simbólica de bilhetes, cachecóis e t-shirts promocionais “Força Portugal” ao Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, Carmona Rodrigues. A edilidade lisboeta, a par da Santa Casa da Misericórdia da capital e da Associação Cais - instituições claramente conhecedoras desta problemática - associaram-se à iniciativa da FPF e irão, agora, distribuir os ingressos e restante material pelos "sem-abrigo".

Para Gilberto Madaíl, “a Federação Portuguesa de Futebol é uma entidade atenta ao meio que a envolve e que pretende interagir com a sociedade onde está inserida no cumprimento do seu papel fundamental de promoção do futebol”. “A FPF tem, por múltiplas vezes, promovido ou colaborado na realização das mais diversas acções no âmbito da responsabilidade e solidariedade sociais junto dos mais jovens, dos idosos, de pessoas com deficiência e em áreas temáticas diversas no sector da saúde”, lembrou o Presidente da FPF, que falava na Conferência de Imprensa de apresentação desta acção.

“O Futebol é para todos, jovens e menos jovens, para os mais abastados e para os que vivem com maiores dificuldades. E é a estes últimos, especificamente aos "sem-abrigo", que esta iniciativa se destina, procurando dar aos 500 que se deslocarão ao Estádio de Alvalade alguns momentos de felicidade e de alegria”, concluiu.

Por seu lado, Carmona Rodrigues felicitou a FPF por levar a cabo mais uma acção de cariz solidário, elogiando o contributo que a Federação dá para “um desígnio de todos que é o da inclusão social”. Depois de lembrar que Lisboa é uma cidade “onde a realidade dos sem abrigo é muito expressiva”, o edil da capital referiu que “este é mais um pequeno passo para que os 500 cidadãos que vão assistir ao jogo se possam reabilitar aos seus próprios olhos e aos olhos da sociedade”.

Já Luísa Godinho, Directora de Acção Social da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, saudou a iniciativa e mostrou-se esperançada que este tipo de acções sejam, no futuro, alargadas a outras áreas desportivas e culturais. “Promover a igualdade entre todos é uma causa global”, sublinhou.

Finalmente, o Director Nacional da Associação CAIS, Paulo Marques, agradeceu a “oferta generosa da FPF” e afirmou que este será dado “um passo importante na promoção dos direitos de cidadania”, questionando quantos dos 500 "sem-abrigo" que estarão em Alvalade “alguma vez tiveram a oportunidade de assistir a um jogo da Selecção Nacional” ou mesmo entraram num estádio de futebol.

“Perguntarão se não seria melhor pagar-lhes uma refeição ou uma noite num quarto de pensão. Não, certamente não seria. Na generalidade, todas estas pessoas têm assegurado diariamente uma refeição e pernoita. Necessitam é de algo diferente, algo que as faça viver e as motive a tomarem atitudes positivas na sua vida. Necessitam de alegria, de participar e envolverem-se em comunidade e não ser olhadas como marginais”, garantiu Paulo Marques.

Igualmente presente na Conferência de Imprensa, em representação da Selecção Nacional – Clube Portugal, Luiz Felipe Scolari foi o destinatário dos votos de boa-sorte dirigidos por todos os presentes.
