Portugal deserve to lose. they should have lost by more. scolari is going to ruin euro for the portuguese. he is constantly playing people out of place. ricardo is the most over rated goalie in portugal. why was boa morte playing left back miguelito is a better choice but since he doesn't play for a big team he doesn't get called up. some how tiago simao figo and rui costa all have starting positions in midfield but maniche, deco, hugo viana, hugo leal, and quaresma or ronaldo don't.
rui costa should not be starting in front of deco simao should not be starting in front of ronaldo, quaresma, maniche is the best portuguese player in switching from defence to offence but tiago and petit both get called up ahead of him as defencive mids. can anyone here honestly say that couto is better than carvalho, and he shouldn't get the call. am i wrong in thinking that the defence should be ferreira, carvalho, andrade, valente. wouldn't carlos martin be a better choice for a midfielder than boa morte.
this would be my team if i had a say
moriera
ferreira carvalho andrade valente
maniche costinha
deco
figo ronaldo
pauleta
subs
quim
miguel meira xavier miguelito
viana simao martin quaresma tiago leal
gomes lima
maybe ricardo sousa as he seems to be on fire

Portugal news - results etc.
