Pauleta goal was brilliant though, the only thing i reckon portugal lack and to be honest most international team is getting players into the box when balls came in. Portugal would have won that game by 2 or 3 goals if they got more players in the box for a number of crosses which came in.

Pauleta's goal was a cracker. And I agree that the Portuguese players need to get nside the box more often.

England fans to appear in court following attack on Portuguese police
Thu Feb 19,11:44 AM ET

FARO, Portugal (AFP) - Two England fans will appear in court accused of attacking Portuguese police officers before Wednesday's friendly international between the two countries which ended in a 1-1 draw, the Lusa news agency reported.

AFP/File Photo

The two men, a 28-year-old from Poole and a 30-year-old from Sheffield, were part of a group which allegedly attacked undercover officers who were providing security in the centre of the southern city of Faro.

The police were not seriously hurt in the incident and no other arrests for violence were reported, Lusa said, adding that the duo spent the night in jail.

The men were part of an estimated 2,000 England fans who headed to the southern Algarve province without tickets.

The British embassy in Lisbon said three other England fans were detained on Wednesday night in Faro because they were not carrying identification papers on them as required by Portuguese law.

"They were all released after being escorted to their hotel to fetch their documents," an embassy spokeswoman said.

Some 350 national guards, a semi-military force, were deployed inside and around the 30,000-seat Algarve stadium. Another 200 police officers patroled the city of Faro, as well as the nearby resorts.
