Ronaldo plays in my opinion the most physical league in the world, and is doing quite well, Quaresma on the other hand plays in spain where u get more time on the ball and has to deal with less physical aspects ofthe game. And from what i have seen he has not made much of a impact at the Nou Camp, unlike Ronaldo who is already a favourite with manchester supporters.

I was a disgraceful tackle. He never even went for the ball. Yesterday Bocanegra hit the post for Fulham against West Ham. The game finished 0-0.

Erickson voted the best Benfica coach ever
Portugal: It's just like playing Brazil says Sven
February 17, 2004
FARO, Portugal (AFP) - England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson said Wednesday's friendly here against Euro 2004 hosts Portugal would be the nearest thing in football to playing world champions Brazil.
But the Swede also told a news conference here Tuesday that he was worried this would be the last friendly game where he would be allowed to make multiple substitutions if proposals from FIFA chief Sepp Blatter were adopted next week at a meeting of the international board.
Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is the only man to have got the better of the Swede in a competitive international when back in 2002, as Brazil supremo, he guided them to a World Cup quarter-final win over England before the South American giants won a record fifth global title.
"Portugal are technically very good, If you talk about Portuguese football players it's about pace and good technique, maybe not as good technically as Brazilian football players but almost.
"There's always been a great Brazilian influence in Portuguese football, a lot of Brazilian players here."
Eriksson, reflecting on England's World Cup exit, said: "Immediately I could say two things. You need super-fit players if you want to beat Brazil. Unfortunately, we didn't have that.
"Second Brazil is better than we are at keeping the ball. In the second half we were running and running trying to get the ball.
"Brazil are technically the best team in the world and it's more or less always been like that."
Eriksson said Tottenham's Ledley King would start alongside Gareth Southgate in a new-look defensive pairing forced on him because of the last-minute withdrawal through injury of John Terry and injuries to Jonathan Woodgate and Sol Campbell as well as Rio Ferdinand's suspension for missing a drugs test.
"It will be good to see other players but then we are a little bit unlucky that Ferdinand, Terry, Campbell and Woodgate are all out and of course they are four extremely good defenders."
Looking ahead to Euro 2004, Eriksson was optimistic about England's chances even though they have not won a major trophy since lifting the World Cup on home soil back in 1966.
"I'm very confident we have very good squad but you must always be lucky and part of that is having your best players available."
Eriksson refused to comments on England captain David Beckham's remarks that the Football Association (FA) had been wrong to offer him a contract extension until 2008 as this made his future as national coach a constant subject of speculation.
"Tomorrow we have a match. I should much appreciate if we could leave contract and club football at least for today. It's not fair to the players," said Eriksson whose current contract runs till the 2006 World Cup.
However, he was more forthcoming about the players discussions with FA chiefs over selection criteria in a bid to diffuse the rows created by the non-selection of Ferdinand before his hearing and the decision to drop Alan Smith for England's last game against Denmark after it was confirmed the Leeds striker had been arrested.
"My reaction is that it is very important that we work together with players. That should be done now not in May or June. It's important players have their say. In that way we will not have any problems in the future.
"Today the players should be involved in a lot of things not only 4-4-2. The players are ready to do that today. Maybe it wasn't like that 20 or 30 years ago but today it is and that's very important."
And Eriksson, famed for multiple substitutions in friendly games, slammed Blatter's plan to limit international teams to a maximum of five subs each in non-competitive matches.
"I hope it will not be changed. The friendly games we have make substitutes important to see new players."
On June 1 and 5, all the teams going to Portugal will use those dates for international friendlies.
"I am sure I can't find one colleague who says that we can only change five when we come to June 1 and 5. I think it's a big, big mistake."
England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson said Wednesday's friendly here against Euro 2004 hosts Portugal would be the nearest thing in football to playing world champions Brazil.

Portugal look in fine shape for this summer's UEFA European Under-21 Championship after four spectacular goals secured a comfortable friendly victory against summer rivals Sweden in Setúbal.
May meeting
These two teams meet in Germany on 28 May in their opening Group B game, and on tonight's evidence Portugal - even without the likes of Tiago, Hugo Almeida, Cristiano Ronaldo and Hugo Viana - look too strong for their Scandinavian opponents.
Rasping volley
Raul Meireles went close in the opening minute, only for Swedish goalkeeper Johan Wiland to palm over. But Wiland could do nothing about the Boavista FC player's rasping volley in the 17th minute after he pounced on a loose ball.
Lead increased
Carlos Martins doubled the lead seven minutes later from a free-kick and left-back Jorge Ribeiro made it 3-0 on the half-hour mark as showed his own set-piece prowess with a low shot around the wall. Carlos Martins scored his second and Portugal's fourth five minutes before the break.
Arrears reduced
They struggled to create openings against their skilful opponents. However, Alexander Farnerud did reduce arrears from the penalty sport just before half-time, the final goal of the game.
Match settled
Both sides took the opportunity to make several changes in the second half, disrupting the rhythm of the match. Portugal, though, had left no doubt that they have the ability to finally win the one UEFA youth tournament which has so far eluded them.
